Todd Bowles on Quincy Enunwa

Fingers crossed for real for real. I’m not sure if he’ll be able to continue progressing as he was, but he should def get a chance to prove himself here. His work ethic elevated him from the ps to what was going to be our #1 wr going into this year. QE is the one jersey I own that I would continue to wear after they leave.

Ugh so basically saying he is clueless! Coulda looked at your face or crossed arms to get that!

Bowles could knock on your door, give you a check for a million dollars and you would come in here and complain about the way Bowles handed the check to you.

This is why it makes zero sense to get rid of Kearse over a measly $5 million cap hit during a year where we’re going to have $90+ million in cap space. I’ve seen multiple beat writers like Cimini suggest that we could cut him for that reason, which is asinine.

He'll get either a 2nd round tender ($3M) or a 1st round tender ($4M). There is zero reason to cut Kearse for $5M he'll be valuable for whatever QB comes in.

A total pleasant surprise and one of Macc's best moves.

Any updates on Devin Smith? People seem so up in arms over the Hack pick but he is just the latest in a plethora of second rd nightmares..

The Hack pick was a reach, the Smith pick at least made sense. We wanted a deep threat for Geno. Injuries derailed his career, you can't really blame the scouts for that considering he had no prior injuries.

Sure. And i ask for updates on him because id like to see him succeed one day, but my point is jet second rd picks have been awful regardless in recent history with the exception of Maye...

Maybe Macc is intending to sign a big time receiver instead.

I'm not sure that is a wise move, even if we didn't have Enunwa our WRs were not the issue this year. I'd rather see what we have in Enunwa for $4M than pay a receiver 5 years +$15M per year. I think Landry will go to San Fran.

If you wanted to bring in someone like Paul Robinson, Marqise Lee, or Pryor someone of that caliber that won't command top money I'd be alright with that. I think it would make more sense to go big FA WR in 2019 if none of the young guys develop/Enunwa isn't healthy/Kearse would be a FA. I like the idea of seeing what we have in house before shelling out a big contract for a WR.

Correction: Bowles would surrender that check

Problem is, Hack was a massive reach. When u do that, you accept the good of course, but you also accept the bad at a much higher level.

We've had two hits in the 2nd round since 2007. Hack was over drafted to many people loss their sh*t over him.

We could have Drafted Paxton Lynch, imagine the board if we picked him!

Anyway the two picks are David Harris, and Marcus Maye. The rest are all busts.

I would be delighted by the check but completely forget the soulless automaton that handed it to me when I retold the story

right.  the second round fail list is very long and spans decades. and just how much of a reach was hack? was he a 3rd rounder? 4th? 5th?  from what i understand he was probably a solid third rounder.
