Nolder Posted January 3, 2018 Share Posted January 3, 2018 Hello regular JetNation forum goers. As some of you may have noticed there is a section of this website devoted to "Mafia". Mafia is a forum game for people who like to argue about stuff on the internet. The game is played by an "uninformed majority" called the Town or Village and an "informed minority" called the Mafia. What this means is a Town player only knows they are Town while a Mafia player knows who his other teammates are. The game is played in two phases called Day and Night. During the Day everyone talks and argues about who is Mafia and should be lynched. Eventually a majority votes and chooses another player who is "killed" by the game moderator and their role is revealed. Then the game goes to the Night phase where players who have powers decide how to use them and the Mafia choose which Town player to kill. When everyone has made their decisions and informed the game moderator the moderator announces who the mafia killed and reveals their identity and also processes any other powers that were used during the night if necessary. Then the game moves to Day again and the game continues until the Town has killed all the Mafia or the Mafia has enough voting power that they can no longer be voted out by the town. We have a crew of dedicated players on this forum who've played many awesome games together but we always welcome new people. Right now I have a game in sign ups to celebrate our fellow forumite Jetsfan80s engagement. It's not exactly a newbie friendly game but for those who like to jump right into the fire and have fun it's perfect. If you're interested in playing but don't want to jump right in you can just observe and we can run a more newbie friendly game next. It's a fun game and some of the people you already talk to regularly on the forum play as well so you wont be among total strangers. Come check it out!
