Any Interest in Vikings QB's

All three Vikings QB's will be free agents this offseason.  I like what Keenum has turned into and have always thought Bridgewater could play.  Bradford is talented but made of glass it seems.

I read that the Vikings would be interested in trading for Alex Smith so whatever happens there will be several of them available.

Thoughts?

I would still draft the best available QB with the 6th pick if I liked the guy.  I wouldn't expect him to start right away.

I'm interested to see how Keenum does in the playoffs. His trajectory says it's a slight anomaly but also he is probably legit, and he looked not horrible in that awful weather the other week. Good pedigree too. If he can perform under the postseason lights I think he's worth bringing in at the right price. But what the hell to I know.

I think they keep Case. It makes sense. They might also keep Teddy. If Bradford on market and healthy a possibility. If he agrees to one year deal. I guess you can get him for 8-10. You can draft a Qb and sign him. Who would you rather have, Bradford or McCown. I'd probably take Bradford.

I don't really have any interest in any of them. I don't think Keenum or Bridgewater leave this year. They'll compete with each other next year to see who deserves a long term deal.

So you think both will pass up on free agency and come back to Minny to duke it out, winner gets paid?  Not a chance

What kind of deal do you think Keenum will command on the open market? Teddy might be a RFA because he hasn't accrued 3 full seasons. In which case Teddy would get a 1st round tender for $4m and Keenum could get the Transition Tag for $21m.

Bradford just like another coach but on the field.

They're both unrestricted FAs, as far as I know.  Have no idea what Keenan will get, he's interesting.  Played really well, is young and might be a FA if Minny stays with Teddy.  Not the usual situation.

I want a first round qb but I’d be interested in giving teddy bridgewater a 1 year deal Incase he’s not healthy so it would be low risk. Even if we got teddy I’d still take a qb in the first.

yup, 2 year deal imo

Pass, what I would like to see us do is this:

Resign McCown, draft another one of our own, and have Hackenburg/Petty battle it out for the #3 spot and loser gets waived to practice squad.

Bad thing about that though is you know Bowles is not gonna go wit the rookie over McCown... But that would still be the route I would go. If the guy you like is available at 6, you take him no ifs ands or buts.

In 2017, the Vikings have too many quarterbacks — which is just the right amount. In 2018, they might not have any.

OK, that’s an exaggeration. Someone is going to be standing behind center at U.S. Bank Stadium next fall, and it won’t be a tailback. But the days of Minnesota’s three-headed quarterback attack, as surprisingly successful as it’s been, will come to an end in 2018. Teddy Bridgewater, his emergency fill-in Sam Bradford, and Bradford’s emergency fill-in Case Keenum — all three with winning records wearing purple and gold — are all slated to be unrestricted free agents in a QB-hungry market next spring.

The Jets should look hard at getting a dome put on.

maybe.  i'm not sure if metlife can get one or if it was designed in.  it seemed like the thing to do once they decided to tear down the old stadium and put up a new.  they lucked, weatherwise, out a couple of seasons ago when they hosted the superbowl.

No Nikes!

Resign McCown and draft a QB in the 1st round to to be groomed.  McCown will probably regress and or get hurt and our 1st round pick is thrust into action while Hack continues to hold the clipboard.

Get cousins, trade down a few spots and get a # 2 or #3 in return.
