Dumb Coaches Dumb Players

After watching some of these playoff games its astounding how many opportunities these teams miss.

They all have people in the booth with great views of the action and take numerous aerial photos yet no adjustments are made. I mean does anyone look at this stuff ? It reminds me of the Jets and Todd Bowles lack of adjustments during a game.

The Buffalo Bills and Tyrod Taylor had the ability to run the entire game. At times when Receivers were totally blanketed and entire sides of the field empty for Tyrod to run free they didn't take it a QB who Obviously runs better than he passes. One play on third and ten, I believe it was Buffalo's next to last possession, the entire left side of the field was wide open It would have been tough to stop Tyrod from gaining 30 + yards maybe even a TD yet he threw into tight coverage and the left side of the pocket was just as wide open. This is not rocket science but some of these coaches are dumb beyond belief and refuse to move off a game plan that's just failing miserably or they simply are not paying attention.

Same thing was happening to Jacksonville, not much to be had in the passing game so Bortles ran the ball when he had the chance and it was successful.

Once again if your Buffalo and Tyrod starts taking advantage of the wide open spaces, Jacksonville would have been forced to assign a spy to Taylor taking a potential LB/S out of coverage helping in both the running and passing game. It would have also had Jacksonville thinking more and take away some of there aggressiveness.

Its obvious QB's are the most important players on the field but I question whether a great coach is more Important, something the Jets have lacked just as much as a QB. We have been dealing with dumb coaching for just as long as we have been dealing without a QB. In the 80's the Jets had one of the most talented rosters in the NFL but we were straddled with that Idiot Joe Walton. We should have had, at the very least, 1 SB with that talented roster but we went home each and every year.

Parcells showed us what a great coach can achieve in 2 short years after a 1-15 campaign with Rich Kotite. I'm afraid even if we do get a good QB and build a talented roster coaching will eventually cost us just like it always has. Dumb rarely wins in the NFL

I’m old enough that I can’t sit and watch every game on Sunday like I used to when I had less responsibilities.  With that said I’ve often wondered how many people that complain about our coaching staff have time to watch other teams.  I see many other teams make the same kind of mistakes that the Jets do all the time.  The only difference is I’m not personally attached to the outcome of the game so it doesn’t matter.

Personally I think we just lack the talent to make our coaching staff look good, specifically at the QB position and the pass rush on defense. I honestly thought the 49ers were a train wreck this year.  Who would have known they were only 1 guy away?
