What would you give or give up to see a Jets Super Bowl in next 3 years?

Well since I have been rooting for this team since the Titans days I don't really have much more to offer. I realize I'm one of the lucky ones to actually remember watching the Jets play in and win a Super Bowl but after years of hauling my butt to games in Queens and then NJ, years of sitting in traffic, years of money spent, years of time invested, years of emotional anguish, and two marriages I figure I've given this team all I can. Maybe its time for them to give something to US, the Fans who have loved and hated this team at times something back. For me, that would be a consistent winner who has a chance to win it all every year. Don't get me wrong. Winning the Super Bowl would be the ultimate but I want more. I want this franchise to have as many winning years in a row as it has had losing seasons. I want all the bad luck and "play's that will live in infamy" to become good luck and plays remembered for their greatness and not their stupidity. I want Dynasty. If your talking about that.... then take it ALL:

Now that is a Mans Man reply. Kudos. He is willing to become RoboCop to get a SB again (JetFaninMI, I too was also lucky enuf in NJ as a 17 yr old to watch SB III w/my now deceased dad.  Running next door after game to collect my bet money form best friend who was Giant fan. He said 17 points spread, I said hell w/that, I dont want odds, Jets will win. His rabid Giant fan Dad was more pisse dthan my friend. saying jet s had Colst signals and it was 'unsportsmalike of Namath to call audibles all day. said 'not in spirit of play, took Colst out of what they planeed'. Even at that age , I am muttering to myself, WTF?) And answer is yes, I rejected the points the following year w/Chiefs/Vikes and went over again aftre game , they didnt answer door LOL. My firend said next day "My Dad wouldnt let me" LOL (Cause he knew that was end of 3 yards and clud of dust football whoch is all he knoew his whole life. He called AFL gimic Football). The King is Dead, Long Live the King. I think old AFL teams (and 3 teams form NFL that cam ein merger dominated next decade or so). It was Terry Bbradshaw or one of Rooney sons who  once said 'Best thing to ever happen to Steelers was going to AFL (AFC). We were mad at 1st but to compete in AFC we had to shift from cloud of dust to throwing ball downfield and being creative w/audibles etc'

My dream is to watch one w/my 2 sons. Hopefully, if 401 still keeps doing nice, I will pay for the trip for all 3 of us (maybe wait a year or two as one of the plane fares would be from Singapore, ouch). And I mean 3 days ahead of game to soak in all atmosphere. team Hotel, nice restaurants (and male strippers for the JetNation mods if they take the trip also. What theheck, it's only money) ;)

Same thing pats fans gave up - whatever that was

Belleys honor for keeping Hess's million bucks to staya year w/unwritten wink wink to be HC. I know parcells screwed him and he resigned as Hc of NYJ, but Belley could have donated that million to a Hess family members favorite charity at a minimum.

SJ, I was 14 when they won it all. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember my Dad cursing out Namath when he found out he guaranteed the win. "That one drink in his hand prick jinxed it" was his exact quote. This was unheard of at the time(as you well know). The Jets did much more than win the Super Bowl they changed the history of the League. Yeah some smart ass will say "oh no the merger was going to happen anyway" and blah, blah, blah, but the Jets showed the AFL could not only compete with the NFL but beat it. It sealed the deal baby!

When this team gets to a Super Bowl I will be there. My brother and I went to games for years with my Dad and Uncle and after that with our sons. We made a pact that we will go to that game no matter where it is or where we are. Luckily we are all still in the great 48 so there will be no excuses. When the Jets get there I will be there. Hopefully we can get a group together from these boards and show'em how to party!

Your proverbial "left nut"?

No sex for a year?

No pasta?

How much are you willing to give up for the Ultimate?

????

Wait. You can give up sex for a year voluntarily? If that was true, the Jets would have won the last three Super Bowls. I’ve said too much.

That is the key. If we ever get back, dont fly in day before game. Soak it in and get there fo rthe 4ish days before game and enjoy all pre game festivities etc........

If you asked the 25 year old version of myself that question my answer would have been waaaayy more extreme than if you asked me today.  As I get older I just don’t connect as much with the player therefore it doesn’t seem so urgent to me.  I would’ve given anything to see Chrebet and Marvin Jones get a ring.  Who am I rooting for now? Buster Skrine and Jermaine Kearse? I don’t have the connection I had to the players if the past.  Doesn’t matter as much
