Jets' Rashard Robinson drug arrest

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- New York Jets cornerback Rashard Robinson has been accused of possessing marijuana-laced candy.

Authorities say the 22-year-old was pulled over in Morris County, New Jersey last December and police found "THC infused Peanut Budda Buddah Candy" in Robinson's possession.

Robinson was arrested and charged with drug possession and carelessly driving a 2018 Mercedes Benz. Police say the car smelled like marijuana.

A spokesman for the Jets said they won't comment on the pending legal matter. It was unclear if Robinson has hired an attorney and public records don't list his phone number.

Robinson joined the Jets this year after playing for the San Francisco 49ers.

He was previously arrested in 2015 and charged with entering a former teammate's apartment without permission.

He WAS inactive the last 2-3 games December I believe.

It would be interesting to see what happens if NJ legalizes while his case is pending. Would the charges be dropped, or can he still be prosecuted?

Violated the NFL boy-scout oath to NOT GET CAUGHT and besmirch the NFL's image.

Getting arrested for edibles is absurd. The fact he didn’t play over our cadre of awful CBs, however, is enough proof that Macc and Bowles are operating on different wavelengths.

Getting arrested for anything related to the "Evil Devil Weed' is absurd. As someone who grew up in Morris County, it's nice to know that the Botany Cops are on the case.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets defensive end Claude Davis and cornerback Cliff Harris were cut a day after they were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

The two players, who were signed to reserve-future contracts in January and never played for the Jets, were arrested Monday night in Morristown, N.J., after an officer noticed the vehicle they were in was filled with smoke. According to a release provided by Morristown Police, the officer smelled "burnt marijuana" when the driver rolled down his window.

Davis, 23, and Harris, 22, were released after being served a summons, but a third person, Daniel Godfrey, 21, of Morristown, was charged with marijuana possession, intent to distribute and possessing a loaded handgun. Godfrey was detained at Morris County Correctional Facility in default of $50,000 bail.

#GoGreenGangGreen

guy wasn’t hurting anyone. Wasn’t smoking while driving. This bs with weed has to stop. This isn’t the 70’s can’t brainwash folk anymore to believe this medicinal herb is evil. Half my state is addicted to METH the real drug. The crap that makes you stay up for weeks, lose self dignity over, family, friends, life and emotion over. Deal with that problem instead of harassing dudes over peanut butter edibles.

Spent the weekend in Vegas going to Knights/Rangers game. People walk around Vegas streets and casinos in front of cops gobbling up pot gummy bears no different than the regular candy. Not my intoxicant of choice, but not a really big deal. Find the whole "It's healthy!!" nonsense mostly that. At some point every other state and the NFL are going to treat it as no different than alcohol. In fact where it's sold in a retail location, the idea it's a gateway drug disappears.

Meth heads, on the other hand, HOLY SH!T. Vegas is infested with them.

And they are VERY jittery, shady and on edge looking people. One of my good friends cant freaking stop. That sh*t will make you think and see what isn’t there because of how long your brain has been wired to stay up and alert that long.  Compare this to weed? Weed looks like a gift from angels...which it is anyway..

A lot of these guys do marijuana.  It's just a matter of who gets caught.  Homeboy should know better, though.  He's a 22 year old brother driving through Morris County in a brand new Mercedes.  He should just assume he's going to get pulled over.

Remember when we traded a fifth rounder for this guy and then he played a total of 20 defensive snaps and got arrested? BIGGG MACCC

This counts against Adams scorecard as well for failing to leader of men his fellow LSU alum buddy to make good decisions like eat all the edibles before the cops search you.

“Marijuana laced “ ???. The media loves to hype it up. Yes the industry has come a long way since” pot brownies” lol. It’s legal In like 20 states, in Cali and Colorado you can buy marijuana candy out of vending machines ha. No joke.

Weed is God’s gift. Wtf these old people like Jeff Sessions talking about? These type of figures get paid per arrest. They just love money. That’s all. Hey, instead of giving players the option to medicate their season pains, let’s get em hooked on Narcos and Vicodin.??‍♂️ More money.
