The Pig is Ripe!

I know, we've heard that refrain for many years. But that Titan team was a sh*tshow last night. A virtual walk through for the Pats at home. If ever there was an average PARITY type NFL team, the Titans would be it. Let us count the ways that team was probably the easiest matchup for any team in the 2017 playoffs.

Titans were bottom 3 in defending the TE & RBs out of the backfield. They played with 1 healthy RB. They had 4 lineman suited up for a game against the Patriots, think about that for one moment. Plus every single call went against them as usual in Gillette. They had NO CHANCE.

The Patriots in 2017, even finishing 13-3 are the weakest Pats team I can remember. The problem is the entire league STINKS! This is some of the worst football I've witnessed in the NFL & I'm 57 years old.

Its time. Never before in free agency have the Jets been staring at a few players that could completely flip the script for the next 3/4 years which is an eternity in the NFL. Remember 2010? Seems like 20 years ago.

Tom Brady is going to be 41 f*cking years old in 2018! The Pats are most likely going to lose both coordinators in McDaniel & Patricia. They are going to have quite a bit of turnover on their roster, most likely losing Butler, Solder, Dion Lewis.

The Jets in the past in free agency always got players who were literally done, or almost done. Leonard Marshall, Ronnie Lott, LT we got 2 ok years, Forte, the list is long & aggravating. Well, this year we might have 105 million & 3 picks in the top 50. Don't f*ck around! Reading these boards I've realized one thing, you can't do 5 year rebuilds in this league! Look at the Titans last night, what are they in 3/4 years of rebuild & they'll be looking for a new TE soon as Walker gets injured more & more.

Nope, my patience has already run out and Macc has a chance to pull a Tanny with MUCH BETTER & MUCH YOUNGER players than Tanny had to choose from. If at all possible, Macc needs to go for the gusto and try to land Cousins & Bell! He should also target Jensen to fix the center position & either Trumain Johnson or Kyle Fuller at CB. Resign Clairborne if possible to slide into the 2nd QB spot & get a pass rusher at 6. This LONG TERM idea has only worked for 1 team & that's the Patriots. They just happen to have the best QB to ever play the game in a league & division so pitiful for the most part that they are division champs before the season even starts.

OMG, Bill Belichick, how does he sleep at night getting ready to face Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh McCown or Bryce Petty. Especially when they're handing off to studs like cement shoes Forte & Bilal "off the juice" Powell. F*ck it man, go for it Macc, the pig ? will be ripe in 2018! Whatever it takes! Cousins-Bell- CB- Jensen- pass rusher- Michel to back up Bell. Let's put a team on the field that can COMPETE with these mother f*ckers. Let's do it when they are in complete turnover mode & give Brady a real f*cking 41st birthday present, a team that can actually compete for this f*cking division! Who the f*ck cares about 4 years from now? At that point the division could be anybodies, Brady will be 45 & probably retired along with Belichick. I want to beat these f*ckers while they are still part of that cheating weasel Pats organization! I want to see Cousins & Bell hugging and Jets players celebrating after a playoff victory at METLIFE vs the Pats because they had to finally play on the f*cking road in the playoffs because they were looking up at us in 1st god damned place in the AFC east! F*ck waiting until they're all gone, I want that smug azz Brady who always makes fun of the Jets, and Belichick who left us at the altar, and that f*cking salary cap cheating Kraft to have to witness his team finally get a sword in the heart by the up & coming Jets, who finally have an NFL QB who doesn't sh*t himself because he's playing the big bad Patriots! Do it Macc! I'm 100% behind you doing whatever it takes to put together a team that finally puts an end to that Patriot dynasty!

Lets be the team that rises up & finishes them offfor good. Jet fans deserve it. The Jets have been the only team to ever compete with these schmucks at all. Finish them off! Be the team that lets every sorry azz Patriot fan know that it's OVER, DONE, FINISHED! DO IT!

I just went back and read every single page of the 2010 Jets/Patriots division round. We really were proud of our team. I haven’t felt that way in almost 10 years. My patience is gone too. Let’s do it.

Though someting tells me Macc isn’t going to spend it on every single player we want him to spend it on.

Love the passion, Jetster! You are a few years older than I and I totally feel you, but the bottom line is, are you ever, at any point in time going to have the slightest confidence in Todd Bowles going up against Bill B? I am sorry but you could assemble the 85 Bears defense and the 49ers Montana - Rice of the 80's offense and still this guy would find a way to make the games boring, conservative, and put us all to sleep playing scared and not to lose. After 3 seasons, we have seen this far too much, and I fear he will never change, after all, he hasn't in 3 years.

I think if he can, he will. Cousins has easily a good 6 years in him, especially if you surround him with talent & a good Oline.

Bell would be like getting a much better Forte at a much younger age.

Chances are, we won't get either but who the hell else are we paying on this team? Maybe DD ? ASJ? Short money or let him walk. Spend you money on STUDS. QB is the most important position in the NFL, if Cousins wants out of Washington it's a no brainer. CB is a must so go after Trumaine Johnson or Fuller. If the Steelers don't franchise Bell, f*ck it, go for broke, watching Forte when he was healthy in 2015 was fun. Bell is younger, and much better right now. Cousins is the most IMPORTANT piece to this offseason puzzle. Once he's in the fold, other free agents actually start to believe Jets can be serious contenders in the AFC east. If the Jets spent all of their draft resources to pass rushers & the Oline with just one stud RB like Jones or Michel to back up Bell it would be an exciting season.

Last night you saw Mariota, handing off to Henry & throwing to our castoff and a couple of youngsters. Imagine a Jet offense with Cousins, handing off to Bell, Michel, McGuire, throwing to Robinson, Kearse, Enunwa, Anderson. With Hanson and Stewart as breathers, ASJ & Enunwa swapping the TE role with Enunwa running the Reed type of routes Cousins is familiar with. Sweet dreams.

I don't want to just take down the Pats at the very end of their dynasty.  I want to focus on being the next team in the division to have a sustained run of success.  As a Mets fan, I've seen the Braves, Phillies and Nats run off strings of division titles.  The Marlins have also won 2 world series.  As a Jet fan I've dealt with Miami in the 1980's, Buffalo in the 1990's and the Patriots since the 2000's.  That sustained streak of excellence always seems to skip over my teams.  The LAST thing I want from this offseason is to sign guys who are closer to falling off the cliff (e.g. Bell) to long term/expensive deals and being back in salary cap hell again in a year or two.  I want to see the Jets build through the draft and only make smart signings.  Do we really want to sign the next Revis, who just wants to use us to get paid one last time?

Hey I would be all on board if that happened. Your forgetting one thing. Macc is the GM. The calendar flipped so he has a clean slate with me for now. I want to see what he does with all this money and the draft. Can he pull all that you mentioned off? I'm skeptical due to past performance. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see all of that happening, but reality has a way of crashing in.

Bell is 25 years old & a Jet fan. He won't be available he's too important to the Steelers offense so they'll tag him. Just a dream.

Yet so many aholes here literally hate Sanchez and Shotty!  Sometimes this fanbase just seems to me to be deplorable.

right on. i remember hearing on the michael kay show or maybe it was max's show that new york deserved to have championship teams because it was the media capital of the world.  in a real sense he's right. there's no reason why the big market teams shouldn't be stepping on the small market teams.  yeah i get the part about the salary cap and so on but there are just so many more opportunities for the players in a new york market than a puny boston market. maybe the jets need to market themselves better.
