He was on patrol and pulled this car over with some shaddy guy driving. After he took his license he went back in the patrol can and punched in his license number and plate number. Up popped greengal's advice column and in another long-winded column the point was you have to "be nice to people". GOB, the softy (in more ways than one) gave the guy back his license and told him to go on his way. Ended up the dude was the Los Angeles Zodiac serial killer. Other than that's it's a regular laptop with WiFi access to run plates, people, use the map program etc. And TX modern cops eat bagels....
