The game has certainly evolved with what players are responsible for.  In the grand scheme of things it was no that long ago that Centers had pretty low value in comparison to other spots.  Now you need a smart Center that can make all the line calls, block head up and many teams pull their center these days.

Does anyone think if the Jets drafted Joe Flacco instead of Vernon Gholston in the 2008 draft they would have won a Super Bowl between 08-11?

Big Wood was great. Powell is a guy that many of our younger guys didn't really see play. I think he made 4-5 pro bowls. Was a tremendous player.

Joe Fields Kevin Mawae Marvin Powell and no Nick Mangold was not the best center a damn good one but the Jets have always seemed to have good centers and offensive lines in general until now that is

Mawae for me but I never saw Winston Hill play. We where pretty spoiled at center for years going from him to Mangold

Hopefully we draft two lineman with 2 of first 4 picks. Same thing next yr. By 2020 our qb May finally get quality protection, and run decent run game is possible again.
