Even TINIER LB . . . signed by the Jets

The Jets have signed former BC Lions LB Micah Awe to a reserve-future contract. The CFL team released Awe, 24, from his contract a year early so he could pursue the NFL. He attended school at Texas Tech and signed with the Bucs last year as an undrafted free agent. (He didn't play in the regular season.) Listed At 6-feet, 220 pounds, he made 54 tackles in his one season with the Lions.

Also, Mangold was hurt ALL last year and ONLY NOW - a season later - is his "starting" to feel better. :o

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

Former Jets C Nick Mangold, who sat out the season, said he's undecided on whether to play in 2018. Mangold, 34, said he's "in football purgatory. I'm not up and I'm not down. I'm somewhere in between, all over the place. My foot is starting to feel better. I'm starting to get back into things. Is this something I still want to do? I don't know where I am." He said his foot, injured in 2016, never was healthy last season. (Courtesy: The Michael Kay Show, ESPN 98.7).

Sadly, I'm sure he'd STILL be an upgrade over Wesley Johnson despite being damaged and expired goods.

Mangold and Brick are two guys I want to keep on the Jets in some capacity for a long time.  Great people, players and leaders!  They would set a great example for young players.

Ya they were a big part of jets success. It’s too bad we only pick lineman in 1st or 2nd round once every 15 years ? ha

He looks like he’s had one ring ding too many. This ring ding is all he’ll get on this Jets team. If he does come back I doubt he’ll return to the Jets.

This was him a week ago on 1/22/18 filming a fatty makes food segment in NYC:

He's exceptionally sun-burnt in the face. He doesn't look too out of shape.
