Come on Kirk, make it happen baby! I want every Jet fan dismissing you to have to watch you improve the confidence on this team & start winning.

Bring that huge chip on your shoulder & let's wrestle this division away from the cheaters.

After the way Keenan bombed vs the Eagles in the NFC Championship game, Viking brass has to be shaking their collective heads and will do what they have to and sign Cousins. That’s an extremely young talented team on both sides of the ball. No brainer.

I think it’s clearly between us and Denver. The immediate future is brighter with Denver but the money be less and in 2-3 years that old team is done. The jets can offer more money and a brighter long term future in my mind. We will see

Jets and the phrase ‘long bright future’. Now that’s a first!

Why would the Vikings go for Cousins if Keenum has already proven he can win infinitely more than Cousins’ zero playoff wins? That pass to beat the Saints showed the kind of will and skill to win the games that matter Cousins has never displayed. The Vikings need a winner and probably found one with Keenum.

Earlier Friday, while speaking to SiriusXM NFL Radio, Cousins said something else that maybe bodes well for the Jets.

While saying he wants to ultimately play for a winning team, he acknowledged that teams can go from winners to losers rather quickly in today's NFL (if they get the right players). The Jets went 5-11 in each of the past two seasons.

"In this league, the winning thing comes and goes," he said. "A lot can change year to year. So when you say, 'Well, where are you going to win?' I believe there are a lot of places you can do that, because it does change so much year to year."

Take this all with a grain of salt, folks. This is just a savvy player saying all the "right" things -- and saying nothing that might compromise his value in free agency.

Cousins is not a stupid guy, and he totally gambled on himself big time to get to the point he's at now.  He will speak highly of any and every team he's asked about, just as he should.  It's a smart business move.  I have little doubt he will gladly listen to the Jets offers, but from everything we've seen from him, the odds are he's nowhere close to having a real thought on where he's going to end up.

It was interesting because Keenum kept performing every single week and every week you could see that Zimmer kind of hated him.

Yes a Vikings radio show with an annoymous source. Sounds legit

Yeah and ESPN is just as legit.

What else do you want Cousins to say? He isn't going to eliminate anyone at this point. Especially a team he can use to run up his price.

The only team he mentioned was the Jets and cited the Bates - Shanny connection as being a big draw.

Everything I've read and watched the last week makes me think if Macc and more importantly Bates, say the right things that Kirk will be a Jet.

He’s playing the game to everyone . I don’t blame the guy. Don’t tip your hat, not everyday in nfl you become a outright Free agent

Yeah okay but how do you get to his signing is a lock from that blurb? That's what the original poster said. Furthermore you know most of what is written this early in the off-season is bullsh*t. No one doubts Cousins isn't a good player. What they doubt is the perception that signing Cousins will magically turn this team into a playoff contender.

You don't see a difference what he said there and what he said regarding the Jets.  That's fine.

I do.
