No doubt. How do teams keep making this mistake?

I understand how teams keep getting fooled into hiring their offensive coordinators.  Brady makes them all look good.  But the Pats defense is rarely good and is always bailed out by the offense.  So why in the **** would you hire their defensive coordinator?

By the way, Patricia looks like the son of Earthquake.5273579.jpg

Which fanbase is more down tonight: The Patriots’ for losing the Super Bowl or the Lions’ because their new head coach is the guy whose defense just got shredded back to back by Blake Bortles and Nick Foles?

You've had some great ones tonight.

The NFL needs to dial back the offense-friendly rules.  It's getting out of hand.  We're now at the point where premium defenses are ineffective at stopping any offense led by a capable QB.

It's true.  Philly got absolutely shredded.

Come on, when has hiring a Pats coordinator NOT worked out, right?

But they had to score about 40 points to win. Keep pretending you can win scoring 17 points a game

Nobody said that. But to act like defense doesn't matter is foolish.

The league might have bastardized it to the point that people think it's obsolete. But it's not

Sacks and turnovers matter. Having a strong safety tackling running backs six yards down the field doesn’t matter.

The reason the Eagles won the game in the first place is because the coach had the guts to play aggressively the entire game. Bowles doesn't have that makeup, which is why it's going to be tough to beat the Pats when he's still the coach. Offense not only wins in todays NFL, but it's a helluva lot more fun to watch. AND, it brings fans to the game - hear that ownership?

I like the helmet in your avatar. I need to buy the team and make that happen asap.

The take away is execution, fundamentals, aggressiveness and brains

Philly had great clock management, few drops if any, few missed tackles, few missed blocks, aggressive play calling, and solid match up adjustments and just smart footballing

Philly had a couple blown coverages, but cheaters were clicking

The cheaters may have won if they moved Gilmore over Jeffrey sooner

And that's defense

Mangini anyone? - let's just hope he reveals the latest cheating plot - has to be something behind back to back SB's - are the camera's rolling again?

and/or Butler comes clean on the Seattle interception - he had that play memorized
