It’s almost definitely a post loss pity party...but he said it.

Anyway it’s be great

He can still play, but health wise he should retire. he takes a beating every year. Dude is the best at what he does but he is going to want to be walking when he is 50.

INT. PRESS ROOM

AGENT approaches GRONK from behind.

AGENT

Psst. Gronk.

GRONK

You been following me around like Harvey Weinstein all night. What, man?

AGENT

Don't forget to drop the R-Bomb during the interview.

GRONK

Dude. I told you. I am not ready to go all Roger Clemens.

AGENT

No, no, no.

Looks around furtively.

AGENT (CON'T)

(whispering)

"Retirement." Got a contract to renegotiate.

GRONK

Alright, whatever, man.

He should probably get out next year or the year after...he gets hurt just about 3 times each year. He has his records. He has super bowl rings. Just give it up.

Please.

Multiple back surgeries and the concussions, those are scary.

Yeah and those don’t just go away in time. I know those back surgeries especially are going to hurt him for the rest of his life. As for the concussions..he’ll be lucky if his brains aren’t scrambled eggs in 3 years tops.

He's already in for a hell of a later life. There's no getting around it. It's not just him of course, but he has taken a beating and it's going to catch up to him soon. I don't care what kind of physical freak you are. The body breaks down naturally and all these injuries and hits will only speed that up.

I don't necessarily think he will retire, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least.  The dude has compiled a ton of injuries and can makes lots of money without football.

I had a low back issue for over 2 years in my late 20s and it made my every day life kind of sh*tty.  And mine was nowhere near the issues he's had.

A lot of these dudes think they’ll be alright without football, but then they’re getting paid $1,000 bucks to show up at the local auto dealership Labor Day ”SalesapaloozaThon” and the Penthouse Pet threesomes they were having turn into you and the bartender at Gilly’s splitting an 8-ball and praying the hooker you hired to meet you both at the Red Roof is eighteen years old, not that it matters since your opioid addiction has rendered your dick worthless.

Agree that is what it is like for most of those guys. But Gronk says he has saved a ton of money, millions. In his book he said he didn't spend his signing bonus or contract money, that he lives off of his endorsement money.

Plus he has a business with his brothers and they went on Shark Tank. ARod and Mark Cuban bought in.

So I think Gronk should be set $ wise.

The only things I got from this post is that (1) Gronk has a book and (2) you read this book.

TBH I wish the Gronk well in that regard. He's a big ol dummy with an iron cheater arm but I don't wish him bad like I did Serial Killer Hernandez
