Yeah, sure. It can become a reality. Its a bit unlikely as that would require the Jets to not only sign Cousins amidst hefty competition but to also hope Barkely doesn't get picked by the browns at the number 4.

Former GM Scott McCloughan was brought in to help the Browns with the draft, and he's openly stated he prefers Guice over Barkley. So I could definitely see them passing on him.

I don’t understand why people are drooling over Barkely at 6? I mean, wasn’t his production so-so last year? Idk. I didn’t watch much Penn State so I’m sort of out of the loop. All I know is he is an athletic beast who has a great power/speed combo.

At 6 though?

I actually think the Browns may take him with their second pick, along with Darnold 1# overall.

It’s possible but I know Scot McCloughen said he likes Guice over Barkely, so I know he is just an advisor and doesn’t have final say..but I wouldn’t doubt it if they went Guice with their 33rd pick instead.  .. if Guice isn’t there at 33,, I could see them settling with either BPA or Sony Michel.

He's definitely a step ahead of every other back in this class he is the perfect receiver out of the backfield to go with his explosive runs.

I think the question should be is there more value in another position plus taking a RB at 37? For me that is the route I'd rather take. I do understand why teams would want Barkley though.

I would greatly prefer Nelson or if we got insanely lucky Bradley Chubb at 6 and take one of Guice, Nick Chubb, Michael, etc with one of our second round picks.

Adding Mcgloughan is a very interesting move in Cleveland.  It usually always good to add smart guys to any organization but with Dorsey and Eliot Wolf already there, Im not sure why they would add a third voice especially considering McGloughan's social media presence where he has openly stated he prefers Guice to Barkley and Mayfield over Rosen/Allen/Darnold.  All that will do is provide fodder for the fans if Cleveland doesnt listen to McGloughlan and they make the wrong pick, seems like a no win situation unless he is there simply to scout the later rounds.

Personally if im Cleveland im taking Bradly Chubb 1, pairing him with Garret and having 2 elite defensive ends for the next 5 years, to build a defense around.  I also think they wind up with a veteran stopgap QB who can start while allen sits, bring back Pryor at WR and use their 2/3rd round picks to stock the rest of the team, mainly in the secondary and RB.

I think so. I love Michel/Guice and also love their value. Nelson or Chubb would be my pick at 6.

Thinking Corner ? Lol. I think he is gone by 6 anyway

No, I am thinking that for a 'special player' he was not even remotely special last year other than in about 3 games.  Hey i am not opposed to taking a back high, i was all in on Elliot the year he came out.  This year the draft is loaded with really good backs that you can get later.  Barkley was just not good enough to be head and shoulders above the rest.

Haven't seen much of Barkley but you don't touch a RB in the top 6 unless it's a once in a generation style talent.

We have far more pressing needs. Do not have luxury of investing in a position which can be easily filled.

the jets have 2 picks in the 2nd, one of them can address rb.

this team can really forge a new path if they take a guy like mayfield in the first, and either guice or ronald jones in the 2nd.  you still have 2 more picks on day 2 to address defense and either offensive line or wr/te.

I do not like picking Barkley at 6 at all.

agreed !.. if we don't " trade-up " for a QB... we're probably gonna take the highest rated OT still on the board  ;)

cheers ~ ~

He was a beast last year.

If we get Cousins I’d be happy with Nelson and the best RB available or Barkley and the best OL available then take a DB or passrusher with the 2nd 2nd.

It's like the chicken & the egg. If Macc signed Norwell & Jensen, if Barkley is there take him (if you already went the Cousins route). If you. Haven't signed Norwell you take Nelson if he drops (Did any of you watch the Super Bowl?), I keep hearing you don't draft a guard at 6, lol.

You draft Nelson & THEN best running back available @ 2. This team needs some offensive firepower fun. You guys would not be complaining with a Jensen, Landry, Trumaine Johnson, free agency start, with a Nelson + Michel, Jones or Guice start to the draft or a Cousins, Norwell, Jensen, Landry, then Barkley, OLB, CB draft.

Either way, I'm excited to see an opening offense in September with either one.

Cousins-Beachum-Norwell-Jensen-Winters-Shell

Landry-Kearse-Enunwa-Anderson (Stewart, Hanson)

Barkley-Powell-McGuire

OR

Cousins- Beachum-Nelson-Jensen-Winters-Shell

Robinson- Kearse- Enunwa-Anderson (Stewart, Hanson)

Michel- Powell-McGuire

Can it become reality? Yes, absolutely.

Do I want the Jets to draft Barkley at 6? No.

Will I be mad if they DO draft Barkley? Not really. I still think he's a great, versatile RB.

What DO I want the Jets to do if they got Cousins? TRADE DOWN.

I don't think its that insane that he falls to 6.

All it will take is the Colts taking O-line or Barkley and the Browns taking Fitzpatrick at 4.

1- Darnold

2- Rosen

3- Barkley

4- Fitz

5- Allen/Mayfield

6- Chubb

Not insane at all.

I... don't know how to put this...

Bradley Chubb is the most overrated player in the draft. Well, probably Josh Allen still has that title, but it's a close 2nd with Chubb.
