Super Confident; Jets’ Adams Predicts “Biggest Parade in New York” Soon

While Jets fans have their minds set on whats coming in the coming weeks and months via free agency and the draft, rookie safety Jamal Adams is thinking bigger things in the near future.

In a twitter exchange with a fan who talked about the Jets need for a championship, the safety responded by saying “Think I’m not ? Will soon have the biggest parade in the city of NEW YORK! Trust the process. We’re working!”

Bold words for a player whose team is without a quarterback at the moment, but one thing we know about Adams is that he doesn’t lack confidence in himself, and has just as much, if not more, in his team.

Nothing for nothing this team has been sh*t for awhile we haven't won a Super Bowl in 49 years and we finally get a player who is good at what he does and believes in himself and his team and all we do is ridicule and mock him.

I will repeat a statement I make all the damn time..there will be guys here the night we win the Super Bowl bitching and whining about something.

Bizarro Jamal Adams, on his rookie season:

“We only won five games, so obviously we’ve gotta get better as a team. As for myself, I had some ups and downs but I feel like I learned a lot as the season went on. I can’t wait to get back on the field with my coaches and teammates, and continue to improve, both personally and as an organization”

Shame on anyone who is about to get on here and

A.) Blast the statement

B.) Blast Adams play

Beacuse that sh*t storm is brewing thick. I can smell it.

I like his confidence and optimism.

But talk is cheap. Talk less, do more. That goes for every Jet.

Dont tell us, show us.

My gut feeling is that next year we'll be reading a lot of comments like "I thought the guy was full of hot air last year but he really is proving to be good".

Of course a safety isn't going to have the impact of a Tom Brady (and I think his brash prediction is silly and Rex-esque) but this team needed quality players everywhere so we could've done a lot worse.  I think we'll look back on this pick as being a good one but, again, that's just a hunch.

On one hand, you have a point. It's important to focus on the ultimate goal. But again comes back to an organization that fails emphasize that there's a lot of hard work involved before you run your mouth like this. Adams has no business talking like this. Crazy idea-get back to us when you win the division.

Or Deshaun Watson, or  JJ Watt's kid brother, or Pat Mahomes. All of whom play critical positions. Adams may be a good safety. BUT HE'S A GODDAMN SAFETY, FOR F__'S SUCK DOES THAT PICK SUCK.
