I could dig it... but why cut Anderson? Still super cheap, Enunwa could be 50/50 and honestly I don't think we missed him on offense. I like Q, I think there is a big risk there.

I would like it more if it said tender Q with a 2nd round pick and see if you get a team that takes him. Keep Anderson because he is a bigger threat than Q, but I can see why you would cut him. I just don't like cutting him, deal with the off field stuff because Anderson can be special.

Cornerbacks are brutal and the team is cutting Mo

Can't build Rome in a day.

I think cutting Mo may come down to leaving space to sign Cousins. He's overpayed and hasn't made impact plays but still grades out as a good DL per PFF and his replacement wouldn't be better.

I am kind of fine with the big things, but could quibble all day about the minor things.  I think they probably will dump Mo, especially if they go after a QB or pass rusher.  You roster is pretty close to 53, though you are short the specials.  IMO, Dozier is a goner and they should dump Ijalana to save cap space.  They are paying him a bunch and I don't think it is guaranteed.  I would expect them to try to resign Qvale rather than either.  They seem to like Ijalana better on the left side, but Qvale better for everything else.

I would keep Anderson around.  The suspension gives you an extra roster spot anyway. On the Dline, Pennel is 340-360 lbs.  He is a nose, not a DE.  I think Simon is a goner or remains a fringe guy that does not make the 53.  I don't know what is up with Mauldin, but I think there is a good chance he is gone.  He is OLB size, but... eh.  At CB I would expect Roberts and Robinson to be back and ahead of Burris and probably Clark and Jones, but they both kinda suck, so I would seriously be looking for an upgrade there.  I guess you are considering that with Jackson, but he seems like a strange choice for a guy that is giving up on his #1WR on a minimum deal for a few traffic infractions.

I think for a dream this team is pretty sh*tty and when they go 7-9 everybody should be getting fired, but I guess that makes it realistic.

Getting Rosen at 6 makes it a dream for me.

Mauldin when4 down lineman in sub packages. Left out Roberts and Robinson as to hope last years two CB picks could make the leap. Pennel at DE an oversight.

good thoughts on OL.

I say cut Clairborne and Skrine, and I think we can sign Cousins despite the non believers. If in fact we do sign Cousins, I think the draft can work this way:

RD    1    RB    SAQUON    BARKLEY    PENN STATE or G QUENTON NELSON
RD    2    DE    SAM    HUBBARD    OHIO STATE
RD    2    CB    JAIRE    ALEXANDER    LOUISVILLE
RD    3    QB    LUKE    FALK    WASHINGTON STATE
RD    4    CB    DONTE    JACKSON    LSU
RD    5    OT    BRANDON    PARKER    NORTH CAROLINA A&T
RD    6    WR    SIMMIE    COBBS JR    INDIANA
RD    7    C    AUSTIN    CORBETT    NEVADA

Claiborne is a FA. If they signed Cousins I would go

1 Nelson OG ND

2. Price OC OSU

2. Michel RB UG

3. Andrews TE OU

4. Gesicki TE PSU

5. Williams ILB, AU

6. White, QB WK

7. LaCouture DE LSU

The 25MM on Norwell and Jensen and 5MM on Daniels would be going to Cousins.

I don't really want Barkley.  Maybe it is my ongoing hatred of the Blair Thomas pick, who knows?  I guess it can't be Penn State, because I knew that Richie Anderson was a great pick and he was only a few years later.  There are a bunch of backs I like more - I really like Chubb who seems to be pretty low on everybody's radar, but maybe that is just his cool jersey number.

I am hopeful that the OLine will have a huge uptick with the change in coaching.  Dennison was not particularly successful with the Bills, but just having the emphasis might help. He switched a power run team to zone blocking.  The Jets seem to have more zone oriented personnel. The change in coaching may also mean a change in value of the players that we have - Wes Johnson in particular, not that I would pay him real money.

At WR, I would consider two lower priced options: Taylor Gabriel if we are looking for a fast pinball style.  Let him compete with Jalin Marshall, at least he isn't a fumbler.  Terrelle Pryor if we want another large target. He should come fairly cheap after fizzling in Washington, but if we sign Cousins their lack of chemistry puts him right out. His catch rate is a concern, but he is still young enough and bonus - best QB on the roster!

No matter how good Barkley is the Blair Thomas pick is what my brain defaults to when I hear him going to the Jets.

Oh yeah?  People are already declaring San Darnold a bust literally only because Mark Sanchez went to the same college

i wouldn't say that it's just sanchez.  it's the long line of usc qb's that have done nothing once they reach the nfl. and the top dog among the losers is leinart (okay maybe todd marinovich).

I'd wait to see what the decision is on McCarron's status is in Cincy. Supposed to hear from the arbitrator within a few days, and if he is declared an UFA, I'd take a run at him.  He showed quite a bit when Dalton went down and had Pittsburgh beat in the playoffs until Pacman and Vontez went off on stupid penalties.  He could probably be had for something close to Mike Glennon money ($18 mil per). Barkley is tempting at #6 if he's still there (which I seriously doubt) but one bad hit or non contact injury and the dreaded ACL news flash comes up....there are talented RB's to be had in the later rounds....Kareem Hunt comes to mind...If they can't sign any top FA Offensive lineman, then I'd look at Quentin Nelson or Connor Williams at #6.  I can't help remembering sitting here in Texas as a Jet fan and watching the Cowboys build their O-line with 1st round picks and it proved to be the best in the league.....just my 2 cents
