Give me Robinson or Bryant, rest of the WR FA pool doesn't excite me. Sign tavon as a return specialist who occasionally works into the slot on the cheap.

Could do worse than bridgewater and he is still young. Besides the health question, I’m not sure how his arm strength will play in the northeast. Reminds me of a Pennington-type player.

obviously theres concerns about him and I agree about his arm, but I'd love to take a chance on him with a top 10 pick in the fold in case he gets outplayed/can't hack it (no pun intended). Would quit the Jets if we gave Keenum Cousins money

Thank God we weren't the suckers paying and passing on a 1st round QB for Keenum

Can’t do it. He’s got that documentary to make.

Is that the one where he wears a Jet hat and vikings jersey and walks aimlessly around Arizona asking the plethora of elderly where he should sign?

That’s pretty awesome. Lol

Ome good thing coming from the documentary: we’ll get to see Todd and Macc attempt to be persuasive while eating Olive Garden spaghetti.

I can vividly picture Mac selling the hell out of tri-state area food while double fisting their breadsticks

What a joke, team in desperate need of WR help whiffs on Robinson, Landry, and Watkins. More than enough capital between money and picks to outbid everyone. Norwell to the Jags. Macs gonna miss out on Cousins and get fired, what a clown.

It’s amazing how we don’t value playmakers .

Idc how you feel about either 3 but whiffing on the best 3 WRs on the market (Rob, Landry, and Watkins) with all the money in the world all while trying to lure a QB is a joke

We dont really need WR help

On what planet do we not need WR help? Anderson is most likely suspended for the first few games, Enunwa is coming off a serious neck injury who knows if he returns to form,  Kearse is a decent slot nothing special, rest of the WRs on the roster are scrubs Hansen and Stewart were trash picks, we should’ve picked up a wideout with some of our 100 million in cap space. Really starting to believe the Cousins 50 million in the first year fully guaranteed reports.

What’s out there Paul Richardson maybe? Bring in one or both of the likely big cuts (Suh and Matthieu)? Johnson, Butler, Fuller? 50 million in year 1 for Cousins?

I think he is gonna ball in that offense .  Paul Richardson is probably gonna get the same kinda money . Everyone is gonna get overpaid with the cap going up . I don’t like the fit for us . But the trend for us is we don’t value the position and that is alarming .

This. I don't love giving Watkins 16 million per but the fact that the Jets seem content with their current WR ensemble is the problem, 28th ranked Offense, bad on O-line, crappy run game, abysmal QB situation. Offense is going to suck terribly again next year unless Cousins or a 1st round QB can do it all with no playmakers/line.

I'm now leaning towards drafting a 1st round QB over signing Cousins. I already hate the guy between the tweet asking for suggestions where to sign, teasing Vikings and Jets fans with that farewell, and now this stupid documentary. Guy is such a douche, and I'm not in love with the idea of paying him anything more than what the Vikings are going to.

Edit: Plus we're still such a ways off from competing for a Super Bowl, I know a ton can change with this offseason between our picks and cap space but there's not a single position group I feel comfortable with or believe, as is, can be a position group on a Superbowl team, safety comes closest. We suck.

There is interest on both ends from Bills and Sam Bradford. Per NFL.com

If they sign Bradford they still draft a QB right?

Outside of Cousins, all the FA QBs are bridge guys. None of them stop you from taking a QB in the draft.

Even signing Keenum? What were his contract details?

On another note the Vikings are completely screwed if they lose out on Cousins to us. 3 QBs on their team, they clear house and now theres a possibility they lose out on everyone. That's a fireable offense.

Who knows with Elway. But can we please stop talking about him as a good GM? He took a QB in the first round 2 years ago, he's barely played and now they're looking for a QB again and signing Keenum. Signing Peyton can only carry him for so long.

Yea that Superbowl team is falling apart, winning one gives you a grace period/job security but Elway can't afford another Paxton Lynch

Throw out some names that are game changers on offense available to the Jets right now?  I’m sick of being garbage on offense in an era where Kirk Cousins can command 30 million per year because he had a good year with Jordan Reed, Garçon, and D Jackson, Tavon Austin is a kick/punt returner, Paul Richardson is Devin Smith if Devin Smith got healthy, Mike Wallace please, a 2nd rounder for Tyrell Williams no thanks, Darkwa lol.  The Jets would need a miracle to have say Rosen, or Darnold fall to 6, and have say guys like Michel, and C Kirk fall to them in the 2nd, and all 3 become instant difference makers to make this offense exciting, that’s like a .0000003% chance.

I've recovered from being pissed about A-Rob, Watkins, and Landry. Anderson when playing and not resisting arrest is a game changer, but they need another game breaking WR and a workhouse RB.

See the problem once again is that Jets fans are trying to find ways to be unhappy. They continue the search. By putting conditions down on who they want when they really dont know

What is there to be happy about with this team? Back to Back terrible seasons, haven't made the playoffs since Rex almost a decade ago, basically all of the big ticket FA offensive players are off the table with the exception of Cousins. Its not such a crazy thing to be unhappy with this franchise especially when the GM has all the money in the world to outbid everyone, offense is going to suck again next year and we'll whiff on another defensive player in the 1st round and keep trying to convince ourselves that the guy we drafted isn't that bad.

Eh. I'd be more concerned if they don't get one of these centers and address the oline. I'm fine with missing out on WR's, even though I would have liked to add one.

I just think signing a center was the bare minimum Mac had to do this offseason. I'm not aware of any other Olinemen that are worth a substantial amount of cap space other than Norwell who is already signed.

just upgrading any positions on offense.  there are 11 before subs.  it shouldn't be that hard.

Jets could still upgrade at every position on the offense I just don't think there is anybody left that would be a significant upgrade to the offense. Only guy that I've heard on the market that fits this bill is Bryant, there are no RBs, WRs, or OL playing pro bowl caliber football available on the trade or FA market left.

I'd still throw a contract at Meridith that the Bears can't match.

I've seen some posters suggest this, is he really any good? I thought the Bears had nothing at WR.

which makes us wonder what mccagnan has been planning for the past few months.  he knew who would be available.  he could inquire about anyone to trade for.  he knows which qbs are in the draft.

at this point unless he's got some deal up his sleeve where he uses cap space and gets creative to trade up to 2 or 3 i'm thinking his smug self will get schooled in FA again and his desperation may not even show up in the first round when he'd rather get blasted than trade multiple picks for a qb.

He'll go BPA and go Defense again.

What would you like them to do Lupz. Who do you want to add? Are you sad because Watkins went somewhere else? Is that it?

I don't see any 2017 stats for Meredith, his 2016 was impressive how have I not heard of him?

if buffalo or someone else trades with indy, we get chubb and it's leonard williams de ja vu.

If Chubb is actually used as 3-4 OLB and can get to the QB so be it but I'm sick of "can't miss" guys "falling" to us. I know Adams and Williams are two of the better players on our team and they're high character guys but God they've done next to nothing. Adams had a pretty good rookie season but all anyone can talk about are Williams' PFF pressures, I just watched a guy who sacked the QB 2 times last year.

Tore  his ACL in preseason if I remember right

He'd be a nice coup for us, big body guy put up a big year on a bad team. At this point I'd be satisfied with him or trading for Bryant but the odds of either of those moves happening are next to nothing

This year, I wouldn't be miserable if "can't miss" guys fell to us.  Only because I get the feeling this year, with trades and just who's up there, 4 QBs are going to go very early.

I'm lying of course, I'll be miserable because if that happens, it means that we're again not getting a QB.  But, unlike in past years, 4 QBs could easily go quickly, forcing some actual talent down.  Not just decent players who play unimportant positions.

The only positions where talent could fall to us that is a premium position in that scenario is really OLB. Nelson plays guard, Barkley I'm sure will be gone by 6, there really aren't any OT worth the 6th pick. I get what you're saying which is what makes signing Cousins attractive but I really don't want any position player at 6 not named Chubb or Barkley

Ravens released Danny Woodhead.

This was widely expected after Woodhead was mostly invisible across just eight games in his one season in Baltimore. The move saves the Ravens $1.8 million against the cap. Now 33, Woodhead has played just 10 games the last two seasons. He will likely have to settle for one-year deals in free agency.

Mac's gonna sign this beast and not draft a RB
