What if the Giants grab a QB, the Jets trade up to 3 and now you are stuck with the 3rd best QB you may not even love.

I'd be SHOCKED if the Browns pass on a QB at 1. They will find the guy they love, take him at 1 and then take one of Nelson/Barkley/Chubb at 4.

this am schefter said the browns are taking a qb 1st no doubt, probably darnold.  i still think rosen goes next to either nyg or buff.  then the jets will have to decide how much they love the other two.

Hurt his groin before the season

Oct 1, 2017

The move allows Santos to sign with any new team after he heals from his lingering groin injury. Initially the Chiefs were expected to potentially bring him back later in the season given how accurate he’s been for the team over the last three-plus seasons. Even this year, he’d not missed a single kick and that came on the heels of his best season last year when he converted 88 percent of his field goals attempted.

Dec 3, 2017

Cairo Santos’ ailing groin “flared up” shortly before the game, he said, making him unavailable for kickoffs and long field goals.

Santos’ groin strain kept him out of the league from Sept. 30 until the Bears signed him Nov. 20.

The Browns have an advantage in that they’ll know exactly how many teams are serious about trading up for QB’s because they’ll obviously be receiving those calls for both 1 and 4. Nobody is trading up to draft a running back. They’ll have advance knowledge that it’s safe to wait until 4 if they want Barkley.

The guy is a very very talented WR that is elite in the Red Zone, but he can drive you crazy with just some of the worst drops. I'd take him, but for some reason I just don't see us targeting a guy like him.

He plays offense, so i wouldn't worry about it.

I'd be cool with a 2 year deal. I like Crabtree.

when you’re extremely plugged in and timely

Can you  not post anymore Santos updates until he is signed? It's a huge tease to think we finally got the man we saved 90 million in cap space for only to find out he is just visiting. Thanks

there have been people saying for a while that the browns will take allen.  not that you can put any cred into anything right now.

Free for all? I would settle for responsibly spending our 90 million in cap space.

Pfft, I bet the Honey Badger could kick field goals from 60 out kicking INTO the wind from the left hash.

His dislike of Sherman alone makes him OK in my book.

Also, the sun will rise tomorrow (unless aliens from Alpha Centauri snuff it out tonight with a giant lazer).

That is only going to happen as Sam Darnold of the NY Jets  is kneeling in victory formation with the Jets leading by 9 points with 20 seconds left in the super bowl as the Jets players Gatorade Jim Harbaugh.

But, since it takes about 8 minutes for the heat and light from the sun to reach the earth, we would still die happily.

Makes me wonder what the Jets offered.  I mean, clearly anyone would rather play for the Jags but still.

I didnt want him so it's all good in the hood but curious none the less.

I think that is very likely.  I think the value of 3 there is still high, greater than Value Chart, but would be for Mayfield.

I think Allen is too risky to pay too much for to trade up.  Remember what the Jets paid to move up for Sanchez?  A bunch of scrubs?
