I thought he handled his press conference well. Taking the fully guaranteed 3 year deal is far better than anything we could have offered. He took less money for himself (to cash in again) and for players across the league. NFLPA will forever love how he handled his business. I’ve seen this debunked a bunch of times today. The firrst three years of these huge deals are either explicitly guaranteed within the framework of the deal, or they’re effectively guaranteed because of all the dead money on the back end. Yea but players may decide on 3 year deals from now on. Only way a team gets a break could be if they fully guarantee more years. It's interesting either way. At least he’s a 22 yes old entitled douche on a rookie deal. 2

If the Vikes don't at least go very far in the postseason (at least an NFC championship game appearance) in year 1 then he's really going to feel the pressure after that.

I’d venture to guess that, like Rodgers and Eli, Rosen is a little aspergery, so answering something as dopey as that won’t come naturally. It is a dumb question. Also, I think you may be right. The Walrus
I haven't seen the conference, but does Cousins come across as a Viking for life ? I mean, every franchise guy around is basically on that team for life (at least the meaningful years). They live and die for the team. Cousins is going to sour things pretty quickly if he only sees the Vikings as his team for 3 years until the next pay day. He needs to be looking at the Vikes as his team to the end cause it will come across if he doesn't the the other players and fans will pick up on it. If he doesn't win year 1 and then they start losing players due to his contract, I think they're toast. And if they underachieve and he tries to defend himself with "but I took less money to come here", they'll really lay into him. This move has disaster written all over it. Think you are missing that a lot (not all) NFL QBs are self-centered narcissists; douchebags. If you win Super Bowls like Brady or Rapelisberger or Peyton Manning, you will have endorsements forever. If not, you are a douchebag like Jeff George or Jay Cutler. Coaches even want that, a QB taking charge and telling everyone else what to do.Kinda why Rosen is viewed as such an oddity, a thoughtful guy who doesn't fit the stereotype. You don't become a QB to fit in with the furniture introvert.Don't want to say you are wrong, since I didn't see it. But sounds like you saw the species in it's natural habitat and didn't like it.

I'd be SHOCKED if the Browns pass on a QB at 1. They will find the guy they love, take him at 1 and then take one of Nelson/Barkley/Chubb at 4. But is there really going to be a difference between Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, and Baker Mayfield? Because they could have anyone of those three. I mean, if you REALLY love one of those guys more than the other, sure. But why not take Barkley, who would be a GREAT safety net for Taylor, let whoever ride the pine for a year (unless they can beat Taylor out), and set your offense up for many a year?
