Report: Redskins, Dolphins, Jets and Colts have called Steelers regarding Martavis Bryant

Midway through the 2017 season, Martavis Bryant told anyone who would listen he wanted out of Pittsburgh. He stated he was fed up with the Steelers, and his lack of involvement with the team.

His actions eventually led to his one-game suspension by the team and, after the bye week, Bryant seemed to toe the company line and started to produce again. In other words, he started to show flashes of “the Alien” everyone expected to see this past season after he missed the 2016 season due to an NFL suspension.

Lately, his play certainly has the rumor mill swirling regarding teams interested in Bryant’s skill-set next season via trade.

Interesting NFL Rumor: Steelers and Dolphins have discussed Martavis Bryant trade.. Some interest in DeVante Parker from Steelers side
Just talks nothing close to done.

Jets/Redskins/Colts also have varying degrees of interest in Bryant

These are just rumors, but the team most involved, per the report, is the Miami Dolphins. Miami is supposedly interested in a one-to-one trade for DeVante Parker. However, the New York JetsWashington Redskins and Indianapolis Colts have also supposedly put feelers out regarding Bryant’s services next season.

This might not amount to anything, but there are likely some receiver-depleted teams that would love to have Bryant play for them and become the featured receiver on their roster.

Gee we could have just drafted him like about 5 jets fans mocked him to the jets in his draft year.  Instead we took jalen suanders and shaq evans

Thanks Idzik!

Lol I think any of us could be better drafters than the GM’s that come here. It’s really not rocket science. I don’t understand how we pick idiots so much.

This guy is robbie Anderosn part two though, we have a speed troubled child already.

Worse news is this:  The Broncos are looking to trade Trevor Siemian...we should be very afraid of that headline.

They also wanted to trade him last offseason when they had no QB option outside of Lynch. In fact, he almost came here. I agree that headline is actually quite concerning, I think they would like to try and trade him regardless of what they may have up their sleeve regarding Cousins.

Why? That's like Broncos fans being afraid of a headline that read "Jets looking to trade Bryce Petty." Everyone knows the Broncos are looking for a QB. Siemian is terrible. This doesn't change a thing. If we saw the Giants trading Elli, Dolphins trading Tannehill or the Jags trading Bortles then that would change the dynamic.

MacCagnan tried to trade for him a year ago.

So we avoid possible disciplinary problems like the plague during the draft

but after a few years of proving they are a problem, we try to trade for them

I don’t think he was necessarily really a malcontent. He was fed up with whatever the Steelers organization was doing to him and he wanted a trade. He didn’t rape, kill, fight, speed or do drugs...I don’t see the issue here. The Steelers organization has actually been quite unstable for the past few years but it doesn’t surface because they win. That simple. Doesn’t mean that they don’t do wrong. I just don’t see the issue with Bryant here. He didn’t like PIT and was vocal about it. Should he of taken a better way in expressing so? Sure..I guess..it tha type of ting matters to you. But hey, it’s the social media era and he’s a young dude who puts his feelings on Twitter. He didn’t cuss anyone out..blast anyone..just wanted a trade.

Hey Kirk!!!!  Come to New York and throw to Robbie Anderson and Martavis Bryant.  They're swell guys.  Really upstanding individuals that you'll have a great relationships with and love throwing the Football too.  Type of guys you invite over for the Holidays and introduce them to your family.  Just make sure you throw them the Football because if you dont, well, no telling what they'll do to you or your family for that matter.

Sound good???!!!!

the dolphins just tagged landry, who they may not want according to rumors.  now they want to trade parker, their #1 pick from a few years ago, for bryant?  the redskins turn over their wrs and now they want to do it again?  very strange.

and then you have the jets, who would rather forfeit a draft pick then draft a wr in the 1st or 2nd round.  here we go again, santonio holmes, part II

Funny we drafted like 3 WR’s right before he was picked now we want to trade for him stupid team we are (not because we want to trade for him, but because we passed on him in that draft).

This is what happens when another player comes along, and as a rookie out works you, and out plays you what your supposed to do is check yourself work harder, but no he decided to cry foul life isn’t fair, and stuff.

The day we trade for Martavis Bryant:

Todd Bowles: Martavis is a good kid. I’m happy he’s here.

Six months later, after Martavis Bryant skips his ninth meeting:

Todd Bowles: Get him out of here I’ve never seen anything like this.  we don't need wrs anyway.

I would give just about anything on this planet to be in the room and hear a GM's response to *say* Chris Johnson asking them -- "Why do assholes on forums consistently draft better than you?...."

Might be a troublemaker for troublemaker swap.  If the Dolphins are offering Parker, maybe we are offering Anderson.  Anderson is better and cheaper, and he is an RFA for 2019.  Bryant is a UFA and Parker has the 5th year option, but who wants to pay that for 500 yards and a TD?

Bowles would never say that, he would say 'we hare handling this internally'  Maetavius is like a son to me and we will be life long friends even after he is gone.
