I know, I know, he's the cleanest prospect blah blah but that would just be 4 straight drafts of taking no premium positions with their first pick. But I do feel like this team needs to find another solid WR to add to this team (Austin ain't it)..we're THIS close to having it be Kearse and Hanson be the starters opening day. Aside from Lawrence, who the Cowboys will most likely franchise, there isn’t a passrusher worth throwing big money at. Bowels is still around and he can't coach to save his life. You could sign an all star team and he and Kacy Rodgers will ruin it. All I'm saying they were saving all this money for free agency and then they half way fix the team. Doesn't make since because this is the last year of Bowles and Macc so they might as well go all out. let the next team deal with the mess. I'd rather risk it on Watkins then add Austin. He does nothing for the offense. I don't have an answer of who to add but fuk Mac needs a solid back up plan if Anderson is suspended and Enunwa isn't ready to start the season. PepPep Posted February 26, 2018 Share Posted February 26, 2018 Very nice FA signings, re-signing, cuts and draft...EXCEPT: #1- I don't think the Jets can afford to re-sign and sign all of these guys (including rookies), even with the cuts that will be made. #2- If we get Cousins I want to TRADE DOWN. Assume we don't sign Austin, Crick or Butler. I think that is more realistic. All else remains the same. Then we trade down with Cards and get their 1st, 2nd and 3rd, plus a second next year. Draft: Rd. 1 Cards pick 15: Wynn- OG/OT (Georgia)-- Love this guy. Could play RT or OG but is a better fit at OG and could probably be plugged right into the LG spot. Rd. 2 Jets pick: S. Michel- RB (Georgia)-- love this guy a well, he'll be running behind his buddy- see above. Rd. 2 Cards pick: Auden Tate- WR (Florida St.)-- big target WR for Cousins in the K.Benjamin mold. Rd. 2 Hawks pick: OLB Uchenna Nwosu - USC Rd. 3 Jets pick: CB M.J.
