Who's underrated at this point in the pre-draft process?

Bleacher Report

• Georgia's Lorenzo Carter is getting a late push up draft boards as teams meet to finalize information before the combine.

Carter (6'6", 242 lbs) has the length and athleticism to be utilized in a number of ways. One team scout told me Carter could test well enough to creep into the first round given the lack of pass-rushers in the class.

The offensive line class is also seeing a late push as more teams evaluate the prospects. Said one director of player personnel this week, there might be five interior offensive linemen (guards, centers) drafted in Round 1.

• Expect to hear a lot of buzz about Luke Falk (Washington State) coming out of the combine. The senior quarterback is very bright, very well-spoken and teams I've talked to are already expecting he'll interview well and wow teams with his football IQ.

• Is the Leighton Vander Esch (Boise State) hype real?

One scouting director told me this week that the junior linebacker will go Round 1 but to cool down on any top-15 talk. A 6'4", 240-pounder with top-tier athleticism, Vander Esch is expected to do very well testing in Indianapolis.

The big name to watch coming out of the combine will be offensive tackle Kolton Miller (UCLA). His tape shows an inconsistent yet athletic blocker with ideal size (6'8", 310 lbs), and the need for pass-blockers could push his stock up.

Tyrell Crosby is the best lineman (per ranking value) out there.  I haven't heard an Oregon offensive lineman getting this much praise since Max Unger.  New coach Mario Cristobal, says he's the best lineman he's ever coached.  Pretty high praise coming from a guy that coached at Miami and Alabama.

Could be Lualetta. Looked good in the senior bowl. Weird thing is he reminds me of Cousins. If we sign a center in free agency, we might be able to trade back & select Nelson. I would be all for a stud RB, stud WR in the 2nd round. Time for the Jets to get OFFENSIVE, not be OFFENSIVE.

I think this is key to the strategy.  There will not be EDGE in FA, or RBs that we want.,   As good as the Centers in the draft look, we need to sign one.  I don’t think Price or Daniels make it out of the first round.   Can fish for tackles in the second.

Maybe the strategy should be to sign Norwell and Jensen, and if Nelson is there, take him too.  Winters can be depth and then cut.

If I had to say the most underrated?  Ralph Webb.  But I'll go through my list by position for fun!

QB - Mason Rudolph - dont see the difference between him and the top prospects, to be honest.

RB - Ralph Webb - freak athlete who was super productive on a sh*tty team and he still ran all over the SEC

WR - James Washington - some guys just have it and he does, he's a big play waiting to happen.  I'd probably put Antonio Callaway here too but we know why he's not getting a lot of love.

TE - Chris Herndon - solid all around TE.  Can block and catch.  Played a ton, even with Njoku there last year.

OL - Austin Golson - created a lot of room for Kerryon all season long.

DL - Arden Key - he's going to test out to a top 10 pick but slide because of his "off field issues" whatever they are.

LB - Josey Jewell - dude does everything.

DB - Duke Dawson - great instincts, could be gem in the mid rounds as a slot cover guy.

At this point, I'll say Lamar Jackson just because the consensus seems to be that he is not a 1st round pick. I don't think we are a team that should gamble on him but I pray he lands in the NFC.

I agree 100% but once the combine rolls around people will change their tune. He could end up with the fastest 40 time as a QB EVER. Ok, maybe not ever but he certainly will crush the combine.

And I would keep him as a QB. He has a cannon and can certainly chuck it. I think his accuracy concerns are overstated (had a ton of drops that simply will not happen in the NFL). His footwork needs work, that's for sure.

Duke Dawson would be an excellent mid round pick

Arden Key though, injury history plus very questionable attitude or whatever it was that kept him out of spring ball etc all last year, id stay away

Lamar Jackson. Right now all the talk is Josh Allen, Luke Falk, Baker Mayfield, Kyle Lauletta, because the last event was the senior bowl. That will all change after the combine.

I really like Nyheim Hines. Has started as a HB and WR. Returns kicks and punts. Speed and home run ability. Hines could be really helpful to this offense and return game.

Can he have a similar impact to last years RBs?

Oh and for all you Mayfield fans, any interest in Dimitri Flowers? Looks real good short yardage and hands. H-back FB type who I like better than Jaylen Samuels who this board likes.

I like Kameron Kelly,CB, San Diego State. Great size at 6'2'' 200 lbs.  He can play either S or CB.

He had 7 interceptions the last 2 years and 9 overall. This year he had 7 passes defended , only allowed 34 catches on 64 targets. He also added 2 sacks and 4 QB pressures this year.

He has a lot riding on his combine results.

Give some players who could be steals come april.

Personally I think the 2 best receivers in the draft are James Washington and Auden Tate. Both are majorly undervalued. And I would take either at the top of rd 2 and be thrilled.

Like to add WR Jaleel Scott from New Mexico State to your WR list. Saw him make some ridiculous catches this year,. Had 4 games with over 130 receiving yards and had nearly 1100 yds. this year. Being 6'6"  210 lbs. doesn't hurt either.

RB- Kalen Ballage and Rashaad Penny

TE Mike Gesicki

If we make the mistake of passing on some of the better RB prospects, I would love to land Ballage or Penny late. And Gesicki will be a stud. Not a good blocker, but he is a great athlete so I think that will improve. He will be a redzone nightmare of opposing teams and a 3rd down beast. If Evan Engram can go in the 1st round, Gesicki would be a steal in rounds 2/3.

Arden Key's injury history includes his pinky finger and his shoulder.  Neither should be a concern.  Nobody knows what kept him out of spring ball last year.

This is my point, he might be the most talented player in the draft but he's not getting the love for things that nobody truly understands at this point.
