If any player feels their draft stock is already at it's highest point there is no need to risk unneeded criticism. I think Sam knows he is a top 5 pick regardless, if he were to tank the combine then maybe he has a bigger fall. Sure maybe some guys are fighting to earn that #1 pick status and the highest contract but something tells me they are also fine with not going to Cleveland especially when there is a legit shot you could wind up in Denver or either NY team. Just like Russell Wilson, they both shorten it when under duress. There is nothing he will do at the combine that will change that and improve his draft stock.
