Heard a rumor that Bills are trying to work out blockbuster trade with Giants for #2 pick to select Josh Rosen

I’m officially off the Cousins train and back to reality. When they get him, we will be left out in the cold with no other option to trade up. Maccagnan will most likely waste time hoping his money reels him in and it won’t work. The Bills are already trying to ensure the #2 spot. If we don’t make a move now instead of hoping our money impresses Cousins, we are going to be sorry. I don’t want to face the Bills and Josh Rosen twice a year, mean while we trout out Case Keenum or Josh McCown. By waiting and holding out hope, we are basically gambling with our other options and that’s a no-go for me. I’m not willing to do that. It is inevitable the Vikings get him if the money is OK and they are making every single move necessary to ensure it will be. It’s time to move to plan B before this unfolds to quickly to control. Beat out the Bills with our draft picks in an offer and make sure we have SOMEONE.

What in your opinion is the best move to make as of right now?

I don’t really listen to what these dickbag “experts” say.

Speculation runs rampant this time of year. One minute Cousins is going to the Jets, then the Broncos, then the Vikings, etc.

I’ll give up hope on him when he actually signs on the dotted line elsewhere.

Until then, I’m of the belief that the Jets are right in the mix.

If Cousins does indeed sign somewhere else, then if I’m Macc, I’m looking to move up to #1 and take Darnold if we can swing a deal by giving up #6, #37, our 3rd and next years 1st. If they balk at that, then I try to make a move with Indy for the 3rd pick.

The issue is, it will most likely already be too late. The Bills don’t have to wait on the Cousins situation to unravel. #1 pick is harder to get and most likely the only one worth getting in a situation where another team has moved up.

the jets don't have to wait either.  it's as if they want the whole nfl to know they were all in on cousins and then cousins decided not to go there, so the jets can demonstrate that it really wasn't their fault.

truth, don't you think mccagnan hears all this crap and knows the odds aren't great of convincing cousins to come here when there's all these other options?  the problem is what he does during the draft.

Why do you guys pretend that Josh McCown won’t be the week one starter for the 2018 New York Jets?

For me, I know McCown will be the week 1 starter but it really takes away from the offseason excitement to not dream like there is another option out there other than -  resign McCown > draft Minkah at 6 > draft Rudolph and BAP available sh*tty athlete pass rusher in the 2nd and then trade back the rest of the picks for a boat load of 6th and 7th rounders.

If we miss on Cousins we should quickly move on and use our cap space to:

- Sign a QB to be a "bridge" (McCown, Bridgewater)
- Sign a C (Jensen, Long, Richburg)
- Sign a RB (Hill, Crowell, Hyde, McKinnon)
- Sign a WR for depth (Jordan Matthews)
- Sign two young CB (Fuller, Gaines, Breeland, Colvin)
- Sign a "low risk/high reward" OLB (Attaochu)

I normally wouldn't sign an RB or WR but with the picks it's going to take to get up to #3
we should use our cap to supplement our remaining picks

Which is why he should move up tomorrow for all I care. Just make sure we get the top of the top and I’m good. I don’t think it’s worth waiting for. It’s gambling.

i understand the thinking but it makes way more sense to figure out what you're doing after the combine.

don't even joke.  the thought of a minkah/falk/olb draft in the first 2 rounds is sickening.  the team would be unwatchable if they think they can trot out mccown as the starter again.

sounds like, exactly, what I expect Bowles to try to influence..... Hey, Mike... can we just stick with McCown this season, I mean didn't you see how well he did last year. Lets give him 1 more chance. SMH

It's almost as sickening as taking an undersized zero instinct ILB in the first round with an undraftable QB prospect in the 2nd or punting on a QB to double down on safeties in the 1st and 2nd round.

Bowles: “Hell, he just needs a few more years of experience and you’ll see a polished young vet.”

Smh.
