Let's assume that Kirk Cousins goes to the Vikings. If that happens, which QB on this list would you want the Jets to sign the LEAST ?

All things being equal, I would agree with the general consensus of Bradford, but the one difference-maker for me is there's a good chance that Keenum will be coming with a heavy price tag, and if that's the case that's the last thing I would want.  None of these are particularly good, long-term options, but Keenum is the one among them that could potentially get some degree of a commitment from his next team, which... no thank you.

Tight bunch.  Depends if you believe in Keenum, his ability.  Bradford can be good if he can stay available.  McCarron I like..got some moxie to him, TB gruesome injury...but all....from my vantage, are a roll of the dice.  Tough choice.. take 1 in FA and draft accordingly.

I don't want any of the four.  Bradford would be a disaster. Keenum is a one year wonder and the Jets have had two of those in the past three season (Fitz in 15 - bombed in 16, McCown in 17 - will bomb in 18 - QBs don't have the lights go on in their 30s).  Bridgewater hasn't played in three years and wasn't that good when he did. McCarron was a college QB who played with dominant teammates.  I want no part of him. Let him go to Cleveland. Draft a QB and sign some cheap stop gap until midseason and then put him out there , play Petty until the QB is ready.  I don't care if Bowles loses his job. It's time to take the long view for the first time in a long long time.

But those are the cheap stop gaps.

If/when we don't get Kirk we are re-signing McCown and drafting a QB. Poll is likely moot. But to play along my least favored is McCarron. All the other guys have shown something in the league.

But I would say to draft a prospect, sign McCown and cut loose Petty .

agreed, that would be the best case scenario - but if they signed bridgewater or any one of those at a fair price - I would care too much either way.  I just want one of those 4 - and I want them play no later than week 6.

McCown, it's a no brainer if your drafting Mayfield or Rosen. Still can't believe my soft dig at SAR 1 thread was closed, my god you can't even poke fun at fellow posters anymore. Here's a guy who has posted he will GIVE UP his season tickets if we sign Cousins, so I started a thread "4 days until 4 season tickets might be up for sale" & mods closed it. But it's OK for SAR to call out posters for being less than wealthy & uneducated? I get that it's all schtick but protecting the guy from getting poked at now & again is just ridiculous.

Case Keenum as a mentor to Baker Mayfield would be Jets-tastic

I am warming up to Mayfield.  It has never been about his play on the field, just a hot head mixed with a NY media that would love for him to fail and fill the back pages was giving me pause.

He is so talented, the question begs is trading up for Rosen or Darnold worth what it will cost over taking Mayfield (if he is there) at 6?

I don't care which one we get as long as we take a QB in the first round. The vet we sign will just be a placeholder until the rookie is ready. Bradford's health isn't really a big deal because even if he gets hurt it will just mean that we'll be that much closer to seeing our rookie start.
