Maxman
We have talked about it in other threads but there aren't a lot of deal breakers for me. Macc has to get it right, but there are multiple right answers this year. If they sign Cousins I support it. If they don't I will be happy they saved the money and drafted a young QB instead. If they draft Josh Allen, I will root for his upside. I know others say Allen is a deal breaker because of his completion percentage. But he isn't a deal breaker for me. The one deal breaker for me is signing Case Keenum and not drafting a QB in the 1st round. That just can't happen. I don't think it will, but it can't. Can't give the guy 20 million for an okay season. Not signing a veteran QB, not named Kirk Cousins, and skipping a QB in round one is in the same category. Keenum, Bradford, Bridgewater...you want to bring one of them in here? Sure thing, but Baker Mayfield is going to beat them out. I will go insane if it is a crappy veteran QB only with no kid for the future.

prime21
I cannot fathom not getting Cousins and not getting one of the “top 4” qb’s. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
The Walrus
Could go on ad nauseum with scenarios but it comes down to making real loud sound about getting the best QB that's available for the Jets , FA or Draft. And any effort short of this isn't acceptable. Meaning Cousins, one of the top 4 from the draft or bust.
Patriot Killa
Not signing Cousins and letting the Bills and Broncos jump us for the good QB’s of this draft because we held on to Cousins for too long.
Bleedin Green
4 minutes ago, HessStation said: Not signing Cousins and then not drafting a QB at 6. And we have a winner. I don't care who else they get in FA, any QB other than Cousins is nothing but a band-aid and would necessitate a QB at 6... or possibly higher if needed. Going for a defender or even Barkley at that point would have me infuriated with the team.
BP
Who in their right mind would want to come play for the Jets? 3 offensive coordinators in 3 years under the same coach. And it will be 4 after next year when Bowles is fired. The Jets have no plan lol they’re like a ship a drift in a sea of feces

CanadaSteve
1) A veteran NOT named Cousins, Bridgewater, Bradford, or maybe McCown that then goes with the 2 next scenarios 2) NOT drafting a QB at 6 AND 3) With 6, drafting Minkah Fitzpatrick I would physically remove Mccagnan myself. I will be extremely pissed if this comes to pass. For me it includes trading for Foles as well. The way I see it if the Jets do sign Cousins and its only 3 years they have to draft a QB in the 1st. If its 5 years or longer they should still draft a QB but later in the draft. I would prefer they do not sign Cousins and draft one of the top 4. Hopefully that happens with a place warming vet signed.

Joe Willie White Shoes
Agree. I want no part of Josh Allen. I am hoping some other team that picks before the Jets picks him, because a nightmare scenario is that Cousins goes to the Vikings ( I can live with that) and then Cleveland , the Giants, and Denver (or some other team trading up) take Darnold, Rosen and Mayfield leaving the Jets with the guy who looks good in shorts and has a big arm, but can't put it together on the field. Draft a QB that has shown he can play at the college level, not some guy who looks the part, but has not produced. Plus, I think the Jets need to trade up from 6 to jump Denver before some other team (Buffalo, Arizona) does that and leaves the Jets with no QB at 6. jgb
Macc drafting Fitzpatrick and then trading back into the first to draft a 2nd tier QB that Bowles keeps buried behind McCown and Petty. The upside to this scenario is Hackenberg goes to the practice squad.
