Plagiarizing @bitonti on this one, but why are we even talking about Foles? Why the hell would Philly trade him? Their window to win is still now. Their starter is coming off a major injury and Foles is insurance like no other. He costs nothing. What would be the incentive to give him up for a pick?

Just something fun to do while passing the time till FA.

Word is the eagles are shopping him.

I thought they were open to listening to offers. I got the impression that they are still unsure of how Wentz will be on opening weekend. At some $7 mil he's cheap insurance for the Birds.

Is his stock ever going to be higher than right now?

Of course Cousins over Foles.

Better question: Do we give up a 2nd rounder for Foles?

Apparently, The eagles already have an offer in for a 2nd round pick, but said no. They think he's worth a 1st plus more.

Doubt they'll get a 1st but who knows. Nice thing with Foles is that he's signed for 7 something mil this year.

I just figured out how the Jets could completely humiliate themselves again this offseason. Trading picks for Foles.

A cheap year for Foles plus the possibility of a franchise tag is worth around a low second/high third round pick, based on a second round pick for Garapollo.

First round pick?  no.

Why would Keenum be so terrible as a bridge?

Draft your own QB at 6 and you need those picks to and FA to surround him with.

Keenum or any other name, I'd be just as fine with McCown in that teacher role for cheaper. Bridgewater, imo, makes sense if you wanted a younger insurance policy who will push the rookie more than teach.

How would people feel about Nick Foles/Lamar Jackson/late round QB? This with the assumption that we only give up maybe a 2nd this year and a 3rd next year.

if the jets are drafting 2 QB’s then giving up 2 more picks for foles is crazy talk

Mind boggling that Foles was just unceremoniously dumped by Jeff Fisher, the Jets could have picked him up for the 1.8 million still left on his contract, Fitz signed the next day, I'm sure his agent fearing that the Jets would pick him up. I posted this back then & reposted it recently asking why are we paying Fitz 12 million with 5 pushed into 2017? Just blows my mind how stupid our organization is. Foles proved he's better than Fitz, and is a calm clutch player under pressure. The Pats didn't punt & the Eagles won. Foles was bad azz in the Super Bowl!

But, to answer your question, Jets can't give up draft assets so Cousins is the choice for me & has been since the Redskins signed Smith.

I don’t want to give up draft capital for Nick Foles. But regardless of what anyone says about him...guy was throwing lasers and dimes into tight windows all playoffs. Legit, incredibly precise passes. He could be a quality starter somewhere for sure.

I would rather us draft our guy though.

If the Jets could get Foles for a 2nd round pick I would drive to Philly to pick him up and bring him here.  Philly would never make this trade.  They would surely ask for at least a 1st rounder.  And that I wouldn't do.
