Refusing to add in a 6th rounder cost us Kamara.

Bears expected to sign wide receiver Allen Robinson

The Chicago Bears are expected to sign former Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson when free agency opens Wednesday, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Robinson's 2017 season came to an abrupt end after he suffered a torn ACL in Week 1.

The 24-year-old Penn State product totaled 153 receptions for 2,283 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2016 and 2017.

Every year we see teams make tons of moves, trades and signings and most of thd time it doesn't workout. Its about making the right moves, not simply splashy ones.

Cant complain about the money, Free agency didnt even start

RobInson said from the jump, “It will come down to the QB.”

No pass catcher is coming here with Bryce Petty and Christan Hackenberg as the current roster’s QBs. forget it.

And no big time QB will come here because we don't have any pass catchers....hell of a situation we're in.

The Chicago Bears got the quarterback they believe to be the future of the franchise in last year’s NFL Draft. They appear to have found a top-tier target to kick off free agency in 2018.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinsonintends to sign with the Bears when free agency officially begins at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Per Josina Anderson of ESPN, Robinson said it’s a three-year, $42 million deal.

Robinson missed all but one game last season after tearing his ACL in Jacksonville’s season opener. However, he had recorded 153 receptions for 2,283 yards and 20 touchdowns over his previous two seasons with the Jaguars.

Robinson immediately becomes the most accomplished receiver on Chicago’s roster and gives Mitchell Trubisky a 6-foot-3 target that will still only be 25 years old when the 2018 regular season begins in September. Kendall Wright led Chicago with 59 receptions for 614 yards with one touchdown last season. No receiver had more than one receiving touchdown. Tight ends Adam Shaheen (three) and Zach Miller (two), and running back Benny Cunnhingham (two) were the only players with more than one receiving touchdown for the Bears last year.

Too bad, he would've been a nice addition.  But Robinson signing with CHI proves how much

$$$ is a factor because GB supposedly was interested in him.  And playing with Rodgers is

a WAY better environment for a WR but I'm sure they didn't offer enough cash

I can envision Mike Mc Cagnan sitting in his office with his Front office staff looking at him the way Donovan McNabb’s teammates looked at him in the Super Bowl waiting for a play to be called. All they saw was a man in tears and absolute panic not knowing what to do. I can see the same Scenario playing out in Florham Park

Robinson played with the hack at PSU and was not interested in a reunion - shocking

Ryan Pace (Bears GM) needed this signing to help his QB - good for him if it happens, expect the numbers will be insane

Damn Robinson must be a great WR.  His whole career so far has been with crap QBs.

So, every time a free agent signs with another team we're going to have a separate thread where people bitch about the Jets? Is that the plan?

Only the top 10 FA's, after they have signed with other teams, many Jets fans organs will start to shut down and posting will slow until the Jets actually sign someone or are rumoured to sign someone, a Jets tweet from Shefty could fire up the crowd :)

That money isn’t really that bad.  Cap continues to go up 10-15 million every year.  That’s the market, they’re not over paid.

Cmon. We could have matched that. Dammit Mac.

They could have easily matched it but, the player also has to want to come here for the same money.  It was never going to be easy to lure one of the top WRs here given this current roster composition.
