NoBowles
If you are an NFL Offensive FA, why on Earth would you come to the Jets if you have any other choices for comparable money? Todd Bowles is going on his 3rd OC in 3 years...... Todd Bowles blamed his prior OC of passing too much. Under Todd Bowles as HC, the Jets have avoided using high draft picks on offensive players like they have a rare disease What does this tell you about Todd Bowles? He has no clue of what he is doing with an offense. If I am an NFL FA who plays an offensive position, I would want zero to do with the Jets as long as Todd Bowles is HC. UntouchableCrew
This is all true... But it's been true for basically decades before Bowles got here too.
bla bla bla
It's our lack of QB more than anything else. Get the QB and figure out the rest.
jgb
Macc better pull a Cleveland and get self-reflective stat. Only way to land named players is to trade for them. Time to borrow British Naval Impressment tactics.
Sully80
I think you're overthinking this, FAs aren't thinking about Bowles, they're thinking about how terrible of a team we are on both sides of the ball
ScarletKnight89
This is a defensive organization who never prioritizes offense. How this continues to go on in 2018 I'll never understand. This is a pitch and catch passing league. The games are setup for high scoring and favors the offense heavily. But we continue to go against the norm. Playing ball control, trying to grind the clock, playing field position is not the formula that wins in 2018. You look at all the teams that are on the rise in the NFL and they all have aggressive offenses besides the Jaguars. Knowing the Jets though they are probably using the Jaguars (the one team that is against the norm) and trying to build their team in that fashion. Tinstar
No, you folks refuse to accept what has been made obvious by this regime . The Jets are no longer throwing big money at certain position but are concentrating on mid-level young free agents who have displayed an ability to play in the NFL but haven't yet made their bones . You spend money on key positions like QB, LT, Edge rusher when the opportunity presents itself, but otherwise, you take care of your draft picks and players on your roster who deserve to be paid . At least I think that's what they're doing .

Absolutely. You can basically replace all Bowles with Rex and it would all be true. Bowles is basically a less obnoxious, less outwardly insecure, Black Rex who doesn't embarrass you nearly as often.
