Need Baker Mayfield

We need someone with some freaking enthusiasm and fire on this team. FAs know this team is career kyrptonite and won't even take more money to come here. I am no scout but we are long past due for a guy who actually believes in what he's doing and gets his team mates excited. It's Mayfield or bust for me at this point.

Here's the problem with bringing Mayfield to the Jets.  The Jets suck out loud.  Mayfield, played on the most stacked team in a terrible conference and was surrounded by some of the best talent in the country.  Asking a physically limited system QB to take the reigns of the worst offensive unit in the league is a disaster.  Especially with the Bowels neutering everything great about Mayfield factor.

We're already in full out disaster territory. At least Mayfield might have the guts to defy moronic Bowles and just call his own audibles until benched for Petty  or whatever.

I don’t give a flying rats assh0le who it is at this point.

Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, or Allen.

Just get me one so I can at least have a shred of hope moving forward.

We need a guy who will ignore whatever Bowles says, resist incurring permanant damage to his confidence and has the swagger to hit the reset button when Bowles is thrown out next year.

They're in serious jeopardy of losing fans in droves.

I'm 39 years old. I've honestly never been as down on them as I am right now. Even the Kotite years didn't feel like this.

but we have Hack..........

To the practice squad you go. Let Belichick sign him for a week right before our game in his annual FU maneuver and just be done with the whole thing

Couldn't agree more, unless we trade up for Rosen, who's the best pure prospect, you have to give people a reason to be excited this year.  Mayfield definitely does that.  Because today, there's literally no reason to watch the 2018 NYJ.

Other than Mayfield and the TE, who from Oklahoma’s offense is getting drafted before the sixth round?

Plus the Jets already did the ticket price cut thing.

Here is the Marketing meeting right now: Hey we know we already cut prices. But due to all the $$$ we saved on free agency we are announcing another ticket price reduction. Yipee. Last place means no lines leaving the stadium on game day.

Not gonna happen.

Defense in Round one because "BAP".  Then Jackson in the 2nd because "BAP/Potential".

Be shocked if we trade up or pick Mayfield (if available) at #6.

Hell, I'd predict a trade up.....for the DE Chubb.....before I believe Macc will trade up for a QB.

We need the best QB prospect available, screw the enthusiasm nonsense.  no one follows you unless you can play.  If he starts talking 1st before showing how good he is (a special talent for most NY jets prospects) no one will follow him.

They've already lost them.

We are quickly becoming the Devil Rays or Marlins of the NFL. No one will attend, Woody will still get paid, and that will be that.

Ok thx I’ll update my mocks

Haha - I'm being serious though.

Brown and Andrews are 1st and 2nd/3rd rounders.  Lampkin probably goes and maybe even Flowers.

Next year, the rest of the OL goes before the 6th.  Rodney Anderson RB and Marquis Brown WR are probably a 1st rounders and Lamb WR is probably a borderline 1st rounder too.

So, yeah, the whole offense.

I am all in for Mayfield at this point. He will be a lot of fun, the energy level for the team will be great. And his facial expressions as Bowles is waving him off the field on 4th and 1 when he wants to go for it will be worth the price of admission alone.
