Why freak out?

Calm down fam! Not sure why everyone is having meltdowns. We are signing a veteran in McCown who balled last year a younger prospect in teddy and now Gona draft our franchise qb! This was always the plan if we didn’t land cousins! We will eventually make some more signings to plug holes without overpaying. We are Gona be fine! Jet up!

Did you actually watch how the jets tried to develop our last set of young QBs?

The people who are freaking out are doing so because they don't believe Mac will do that. They think he will make a Jets move and grab yet another safety, or a Cornerback.

Okay. Then he gets fired and we start over. They've done this for 50 years. Are you going to live a while

The fans are the ones getting balled. Just saying.

I can't fathom anyone being ok with the idea that being the highest bidder isn't even enough to get a talented FA in here anymore. The next remedy for them is they now have to find some other way to piss away the cap space they were carefully saving, the big payoff we were told that followed their investment in the team's future through what was more or less a tank season. And so far the only non-cripple we've signed is bringing back old Josh McCown with a big raise.

The whole league knows these two morons are a huge joke, agents tell their clients that their careers will be over and in the long run they'll make less money even if the Jets are the highest bidder. No one wants a part of playing for the Jets unless it's for a laughable amount, which is sure to follow. We literally had a premiere player desperate for a long term deal publicly joking "never" when asked if he'd consider signing here.

Everyone's in on this knowledge except the Johnsons - who incomprehensibly rewarded these fools with multi-year extensions through 2020 - and a large group of fans who refuse to see what's right in front of their eyes. But hey, continuity is important and stuff.

Teddy is probably not going to be a Jet. Rookie here we come

Who the f*ck did we LOSE OUT on in free agency but Cousins so far? Robinson? Richburg? Norwell? Just because someone posts here that we were actually TRYING to sign any of them doesn't make it true.

Solidifying our QB position after Cousins snubbed us was numero uno. That's done with Bridgewater & McCown to hedge our bet on Teddy. McCown can run this offense in his sleep so I really don't get the freaking out about these 2 moves.

All of this is pretty simple. No matter what MaccBowles do going forward they're OUT if they f*ck up again, so, maybe its better that these players don't want to be over paid by the Jets so our next GM won't be hamstrung by any cap issues if these 2 fail & fall flat on their face. But that's not the case just yet, as free agency is far from over, they still could land a franchise QB in the draft & we move into 2018 with a few more young pcs, a good deal of cap room for 2019 and Brady, Gronk, BB another year closer to retirement.

We weren't competing for a Super Bowl this year anyway, so at this moment none of us know if after the draft we are better off going forward than we are at right now.

Yes, I'm saying there is still a chance & it's called the 2018 NFL draft. Like Jimmy Valvano said, "Don't give up, don't ever give up".

Thats what makes us some of the best fans in sport.

Why the hell would Bridgewater come here to be the backup? He can stay in Minny for that.

The Jets thought they had a mass exodus last season from PSL owners, just wait till this year, no wonder they were offering all these special price halts till 2019 if you renew before March 1st stupid suckers who fell for that, so glad I was able to unload mine just before this mess!

Find me where anyone is reporting the Jets and Bridgewater are agreed to a deal, I’ll be waiting.

Mac is like a guy who needs $1M (franchise QB) to save his home from foreclosure. The guy gets to pick 3 lottery tickets to win the money (aka 3 roster spots for a QB). What Mac just did is waste one of his chances with a ticket that was already rubbed off and was a $100 winner. Yeah, it's better than nothing but now you are only left with 2 chances and you still need $999,900.

I'm starting to sympathise with how Mo felt when he talked about being ground down by this organisation ... :-(

The clocks ticking on both Macc and Bowles.  There is really nothing either of them can do at this point to save their jobs.

Aren't you the same clown you guaranteed me Cousins was going to be a Jet?

I do agree that there is a fair amount of people pissing their pants today.

I think it's more to do with not signing other top free agents than missing out on Cousins and signing McCown.

Year after year I read this.  This is not an excuse to suck.  It also is certainly not an excuse for not getting any closer to competing for a Super Bowl.  Year after year.

Yeah When are we supposed to compete for a super bowl 2049?
