Maxman
Why do you have two vets with a first round qb? Sounds like they are taking Josh Allen and giving him a red shirt year.
Grandy
Thank god it's 1 year. Looks like we will redshirt a Rookie, and try to salvage something this year.

RoadFan
A one year deal is perfect. If he can play, they will have the first chance to extend or tag him. If he can't, off the hook quickly. Also, a one year deal leaves the Jets without an excuse to pass on a QB at #6.

Il Mostro
Mason Rudolf or Luke Falk will be our QB of the future, hence the need to redshirt him. And they will waste a high draft pick, a la Hack. Just watch. Totally Jets' plan.

We won't see him play because McCown has already been named the starter. Because Todd Bowles...

JetFreak89
So, we are paying Bridgewater $5 million so he can rehab for another year and hit the market in 2019. Brilliant.1 year really doesn’t make sense. It’s going to be a repeat of the ASJ, Claiborne and DD situations this year. Make it multi-year. Even assuming we take a QB top 6 and he pans out, we need a decent backup QB. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

Add a rook for McCown to mentor and it's a good situation.
