hawk
The #Jets are expected to sign #Titans FA LB Avery Williamson, source said. A perfect fit for a 3-4 ILB. — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 14, 2018 Didnt see it posted Wait, there's more. Source confirms #Jets expected to sign former Titans ILB Avery Williamson, as @RapSheet said. Looks like they're moving on from Demario Davis. As noted preivously, the 2 sides were far apart. — Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) March 14, 2018

C Mart
2014 Draft 5th rounder STATS 40 YARD DASH: 4.66 SEC BENCH PRESS: 25 REPS VERTICAL JUMP: 30.5 INCH BROAD JUMP: 120.0 INCH 3 CONE DRILL: 7.11 SEC 20 YARD SHUTTLE: 4.07 SEC ANALYSISStrengths Good size. Plays with a good, wide base. Very productive tackler. Outstanding personal and football character -- works hard, is accountable and commands respect. Smart, understands the game and can make all the calls and on-field adjustments. Weaknesses Average athletic ability and foot quickness -- is a step late to the perimeter. Struggles to disengage from blockers once he is locked up. Limited cover range and reactions -- is late to recognize and gets sucked up by playaction. Average functional strength. Is not a take-on thumper. His 30 1/2-inch vertical was worst among middle linebackers at the combine. Draft Projection Rounds 5-6 Bottom Line A functional, between-the-tackles run stopper with a chance to make it on the inside of a 3-4 defense where he can patrol the middle. Can be targeted in coverage

ScarletKnight89
I like this signing. He's still only 26. Good move. Now if we can just get Darron Lee playing at a high level on a consistent basis...

LAD_Brooklyn
He just turn 26 four days ago and will replace Davis at ILB. Graded out as the 10th rated LB at 85.6, two spots behind Davis's (29 years old) 87.3 rating.

varjet
I am happy with this deal. It is the type of player they should be using he capspace for. I also think Crowell was a decent move. The Jets need to assume that they will not have their second round draft picks, or may need them for someone else. If they draft a RB, Powell can go. K Clue
Don't know much about him, but just looking him up, he seems like a quality player and has solid stats. So, looks like a good signing to me.
T0mShane
This is an exciting one. If you have $100 mil, you need to steal young, productive players. Sort of feel bad for Demario who was one of the few Jets still battling at the end of the season. He’d be a good pickup for the Giants, who need linebackers and who need leadership. Something to watch: Davis covered up for Lee a lot and did a bunch of the dirty work. Is Williamson the type of dude to sacrifice himself so Lee can clean up?
