Well mixed in with all the craziness today we set a record. The busiest day ever on JetNation.

How does that compare to CardsNation.com after they gave $20m to Bradford?

There used to be a site that compiled those stats for all sites, but it doesn't exist anymore. Right now all I know is how each Jets site does every day.  :)

And I am happy to say that the internet agrees, this is by far the place to be!

Just wait until draft night when we select a guard over baker Mayfield.

Don't we still have 1 hour to go?  Can we get to 5,000?

45 minutes and we are at 4,400 posts.

We might need a Curtis Martin \ Chad Pennington inspirational quote to get us there.

This actually makes me sad.

It has been one of the worst off season days ever. Just brutal and depressing. A bullet to the heart of Jets fans. Even with the Jets ability to outbid others, the best talent out there wants no part of the Jets offense. They took less money to play elsewhere.   Mcagnan and Bowles have to go.   This is a true dumpster fire that will burn right through January when hopefully Woody & Lil Bro Woody finally realize that these two are in over their heads.

As of now, 2018 will be a wasted season.  The ONLY salvation for me will be drafting a QB in round 1 and giving the kid a chance.  But Bowles, you know. Jackass.  This team can't get anything right. It is tiring.

Best "Mogglez Appreciation Day" ever!!! ???

4,484 posts on the day in total.

In a day and age where forums are supposed to be dying, JetNation had its busiest day. And it didn't even take 200000000000 in guarantees to Kirk Cousins.

I think I turned old. I can't follow all the instagram and twitter stuff. Sure it's ok for nuggets of info but there is no cohesive story/plot/flow. I watched a cartoon with my kids and every 10 seconds its jumping to other characters and alternative plot lines. What happened to following He-Man around for the full 30 minutes while he tries to kill one scary bad dude? I guess it's true about younger generation having no attention span. It's like living life wearing kaleidoscope eye glasses.

I can do Martin for you..:) I wasn’t the biggest football fan to begin with, but if I was going to play, I didn’t want to play for what was in my mind the worst team, ever,” Martin recalled Monday afternoon in a Midtown steakhouse. “I looked at the Jets as the bottom of the barrel.”

Especially when they draft Defense 6th overall, again.

They have the 20th best center in the league now up from 45th. And a zone blocking scheme. Two vet QBs. Offense is set bro.

Yesterday was a great tragedy in Jets history. I'm happy you benefited via additional site traffic and what not, but I wish the circumstances that drove the traffic were better for the Jets, and their fans.

Hopefully your next record will be broken when we pick a QB at the top of the draft in April, but I suspect we'll draft the best available OG and Jets fans across the tri-state area will be looking for the tallest building to jump from (eg me).

Wow, Even busier than the 24 hour time segment that they signed Brett Favre?

Yes, pretty crazy when you put it in that context. Because that Favre stuff went on all day. I know we did over 3,000 posts that day.

Yesterdays final tally was actually over 4,600 posts.

Other than the McCown contract amount, I like what they did yesterday. They have to get a QB at # 6 or earlier. But I think they had a good day, well as good of a day as you can have when you give a 39 year old Josh McCown 10 million when he has no competing teams. That part is terrible.

If they draft a QB at six, then either Teddy Bridgewater or Josh McCown cannot, under any circumstances, be on the roster this year. How is a rookie QB supposed to get any reps in a scenario where both of them are on the team, especially when you consider that Todd Bowles is the HC?

The most egregious part of yesterday wasn't even the contract that McCown was given (although that is all sorts of horrendous) - it was the fact that they promised him the starting job. Would Josh McCown have refused the $10 million if he was told that he would have to compete for the job? Of course not! He's cycled his way through 1/3 of the NFL teams already, all of which know he is trash, and legitimately had no other serious offers.

Maccagnan was essentially dealt pocket aces ($100 million in cap room) before FA started, and he folded his hand before the flop to the loser who goes from casino to casino losing all of his money by pushing all-in on 2-7 off-suit. McCown just followed the Ryan Fitzpatrick playbook, and Maccagnan blinked AGAIN. That in and of itself should be enough to get him fired.

Interesting to watch the day yo-yo from complaining how the team wasn't doing anything about a position, then sign somebody at the position, then bemoan the signing, then whine that it means we won't do anything about the position in the draft, then back to complaining there hasn't been anybody signed at another position and repeat the cycle.

Just always looking for the angle to complain. Many opportunities to post empty complaints.
