Welcome to JetNation, great post!

My niece, an avid vikings fan, was the first one to notify me of the teddy signing...like minutes after it was announced Tuesday.

And like you, she's somewhat disappointed that he left.

You mentioned ".. Yah, even the lowly Jets can't ruin this kid!"

Well my friend, you just don't know the Jets, lol.

Wow. I honestly don;t see why we need to be this rude to a poster from another sight. Seems genuine to me. Nonetheless I hope Teddy does fantastic and go's on to lose back to back AFC championship games here considering that seems to be our ceiling for the last 48 years. Yay Teddy!!

Sorry that angers you, but if you watch football, you know your team has sucked right? Assuming I didn't come into some blind homer site... your team hasn' looked very good the past few years, sorry.

Yes our team has sucked but you don't exactly root for a model franchise either.  If you want to come on here praising our Bridgewater signing then do so.  But if you're going to take shots then be prepared to take them back.

Thats why. And for me, it was more for my hatred of Cousins. But if he can come in our house and throw garbage comments, while hiding being a cute LOL, I will just put an LOL after my comments from now on. Sorry.

What a short memory you have...

Oh and let's not forget "Yah, even the lowly Jets can't ruin this kid!"

Yeah guess it has nothing to do with the shlt he got.  First response was what, GFY?

Shlt all over him and his post and then fake outrage when he threw the same back.

Nice guys

Did you miss these comments?

-Yah, even the lowly Jets can't ruin this kid!

-I see there is still some doubters on this site.  I'l come back in a few months and say "I told you so".  Maybe it' just the nature of you knuckleheads in NY.  Maybe ur still burned by Geno Smith and can' wrap ur head around another black QB... you will be proven wrong.

-Man, u guys don' deserve this kid.  Glad he only signed a 1 year prove it contract so he can move away from your plague of a team after proving he can still play... Favre 2.0

I must say, that night when it looked like we were going to end up with Cousins, I (shamefully) hit Google-News to see what they were saying in Minnesota, and the response was overwhelmingly, “That’s fine, let’s start Teddy and re-sign Diggs, etc.” It wasn’t even like, “F Cousins.” It was relief that they were going to give Bridgewater another shot.

All of those things have merit, tbh

Tbh, it's irrelevant.  It's like siblings can fight amongst themselves but when an outsider gets involved, it's a different dynamic.  If the guy wanted to praise Bridgewater then he should've left his passive aggressive comment out.

Yeah, hes a cornhole for sure. The whole 'fans where you wanna see me go' garbage while knowing full well he was going to you guys. Such a loser. But hey, its cool. We all know you guys are good but won't ever win the big one. Not anytime soon though. You can be the new Bills!

Fair enough. I have no comeback to that. 98 and 2009 proved you right. At least last year we kind of overachieved. I have no doubt had Dalvin Cook stayed healthy we win the big game tho.  Even against the cheaters.

Nah, you guys would've muffed it up another way. No worries. Here's the mediocrity!

Hey All, I literally created this account just so I could let you all know how lucky you are to have Teddy.  I know, we should be jumping for joy in Minny over Cousins, and yah, it takes the sting out a little, but there are MANY people here that wanted the Vikes to save their $, make Teddy the starter and bring in a couple good backups.  We thought he would sign a team friendly deal but it wasn't in the cards I guess.  I promise you Zimmer fought to keep the kid... nobody loves Teddy more than Zim.

What makes us mad to lose him is we all know how great he is on and off the field.  His demeanor is so solid. You will see this play out on the field.  Never rattled. Never cocky. Never a me first attitude.  Makes extremely fast and good decisions and don' buy the hype about armstrength, it' plenty good and now he has 20 extra pounds of muscle... he can rip it.

If the knee holds up (and it will) he will lead your team to the playoffs for years to come... Yah, even the lowly Jets can't ruin this kid!  Lol, sorry, had to rip you... your team has been looking more like the Browns lately with not even a glimmer of hope that you will get better.  Teddy gives you that hope, he will deliver his end of the bargain.

On the knee: here's why I think it will hold up.  If you didn't know how it happened, he used to turn his hips really hard when he threw, but wouldn't allow his foot to turn open, causing pressure on the knee.  During that awful day at practice, the knee couldn' handle it anymore, he literally twisted the lower part of his leg off the upper.  Gruesome. One reporter said it looked like his lower leg came detached and was just laying next to him.  Players were throwing up it was so bad. Teddy not only rehabbed the leg and strengthened the upper body while he has been out, he said he changed his throwing motion and will now hop a little after he throws, allowing the feet to open up after the throw.  It should be the necessary fix to his problem... and being he was so young when it happened plays in his favor.

Anyway... the kid truly is the real deal, and my team will regret it someday, I'm sure of this.  I 100% believe he will hoist a superbowl trophy in his career, obviously that requires him to be successful with you guys, hopefully you give him the pieces around him necessary to win.

Damn... We're really gonna miss him.  Still can't believe he' gone.

And who paid you to post this?

It' probably hard for outsiders to understand why we feel the way we do about Teddy.  Why we chant his name constantly.  He' the easiest guy in the world to root for. Your gonna love him too.

What do you want me to do, go on television and tell 3 million people they have to be *nice* to each other? Being miserable and treating other people like dirt is every New Yorker's god-given right.

My guess is probably, low IQ.

Weve got douche fans sometimes too... at least were not eagles fans.  Special corner of hell reserved for those idiots.

Cowboys, and Patriots fans would also vouch for that corner.

It was meant as a good hearted jab... but I see the losing seasons are starting to take their toll around here.  Teddy will heal your heart bud, promise... wasn' ever meant to be a serious jab.

Well I'm glad Cousins signed a 3 year deal so he can stay with your plague of a team after proving he can't win a playoff game.

I mean the above as a good-hearted jab btw.

Alright y'all, I gotta get back to my own teams stuff, but as I'm reading about cousins, I couldn't help but think about teddy... found it necessary to say my peace to ya'll and just tell you what we know to be true about him.  There isn' much national media about Teddy or anything MN for that matter so just wanted to show my jealousy and envy for what you took from us.
