Teddy Bridgewater Physical, and possible press conference?

Anyone hear any news on if Teddy has taken, passed, been required to take a physical, and any possible time frame of a press conference for him, and other FA acquisitions?

Can’t wait to listen to Macc, and Bowles back pedal, or stupidly confirm that the 40 year old McCown is the starting QB heading into camp.

Relax. McCown is getting the first snap.

I’d imagine the Vikings would have and would share all of Bridgewater’s medicals with the Jets. I’m curious to see how much the Jets try to pump this signing up. It would be wise to sell Teddy as a viable young prospect in the event they end up getting shut out in the draft.

Apparently you’re really excited about this

I don’t see a reason not to be excited about Bridgewater, IF he is somehow physically healthy, BUT most importantly mentally over the injury the Jets have a franchise QB, if he isn’t he doesn’t play, and it cost you 5-6 million since he won’t meet the incentives in the contract win win IMO with that signing.

Nah, he saw action in a Vikings game last year. He’s ok.

Btw it was one snap and it was an interception.

He may be but there’s no doubt he’s getting a physical via Jets Drs.

Happens a lot. One team clears a guy while another team flags/fails him.

True of False?

Teddy is most talented QB on roster since Pennington? But can throw farther than noodle arm? (excluding favre)

I think so...think you have to give it to him..which is pretty sad being that he only played a year before his horrific injury.

Teddy played almost 2 seasons, and his rookie partial season he actually ended up being a probowler (yes he was like 4th alternate, and probowls are extremely over rated), and his full season he went 11-5, and all the stats guys want to kill his TD numbers, but don’t want to talk about the ridiculousness in this age of football of running attempts to passing attempts inside the red zone those 2 seasons because of AP.  Then throw in his absolutely torrid preseason in 2016 before the disturbing injury, over 10 YPA with a 79% completions!

He definitely has the most potential out of any QB since Penny. There is a reason he was a first rounder and I wanted him coming out of Louisville tbh. I don’t want him over Rosen if both are on the roster. But I agree with you Teddy is an impressive QB.

For the first time in a while, we agree. :)

There's virtually zero downside to the Bridgewater signing. Low-risk, high reward.

This is false.  Favre, 2010 & 2011 Sanchez, 2015 Fitz, 2017 McCown.

Bridgewater's ex MD is obligated by law to provide his medical records with his new MD.

This signing won't be pumped by the Jets at all.  They have to get a QB in this draft, even if it's Jackson at 6.  That's what saves their jobs, or at least another 2 year extension

That was before his injury.  If this was current day Bridgewater, Min wouldn’t have had to give Cousins $84M.  Min saw him in practice for at least two months.  And the reacted by deactivating him the minute Bradford was healthy enough to hold a clip board.

Even healthy, he is a game manager.  He is not a guy that down 21 to NE at half has any chance to put the team on his shoulders and rally.  Maybe with an offense littered with pro bowlers it would be different.

And if McCown gets hurt and he has to play, everyone will be holding their breathe every time he drops back.

Considering hes the only QB who was on the team a year ago, not counting the soon to be cut Petty and the scrub Hack, why wouldnt he be the starter going into camp?

What does any of this have to do with who will start if Teddys physically able and we draft a QB?  Other than to just make something out of nothing?

All good points, but the truth is the Jets aren't paying him $30 M.  They're paying him 5.  IF Bridgewater returns to his previous form, he's the best QB the Jets have had in a very long time.  If his leg falls off, that sucks.

This is a no lose signing.

All good points. But if the Vikings were so great at evaluating QBs why wasn’t Keenam starting from the begining?

Teddy Bridgewater is the closest thing we've had to a real QB in years..............

Teddy+Bridgewater+AFC+NFC+Pro+Bowl+IGzcp

If he can recover from his injury and regain his level of play, OMG, we just found our franchise quarterback.
