jetstream23
I follow you, but next year it's still a 2nd. So it's three 2nd round picks. I just hope next year's 2nd rounder is something like pick #64.
Grandy
Yes we did, it's absolutely amazing value. Based on the fact our 2nd rounders are usually horrific busts.
Paradis
who cares. Make a list of our second round picks the last 10 years. The less often we select in the 2nd, the better

Adoni Beast
I feel we got a steal of a deal. Don’t forget, the extra second rounder this year that will get us our franchise quarterback and preserve our first rounder next year was the Sheldon Richardson trade. It was basically impossible to trade Richardson who is one suspension away from being out for an entire year and was on the last year of his contract. Mac took the impossible, got us in position for our franchise quarterback, without giving up a first. How can anyone complain?

Especially for a team in the bottom tier in talent.
ASH1962
Get the QB and nobody will ever remember what we gave up. To me this was a no brainer and about friggin time we showed some balls and not act scared.
ChuckkieB
The 3 #2 picks are apparently the price for McCown "developing" Robbie Anderson and the rest of the Jets offense. Not trying to pee in anyone's cornflakes as I'm extremely happy Mac had the stones to make this trade, I'm just pointing out what those meaningless wins cost the team in terms of draft capital. I think we’ve got the wrong guy choosing the QB, the wrong guy coaching the QB, and not a whole lot around the QB to make him successful.

I'm frankly amazed that there are posters here that are quibbling about giving up next year's second in this deal. The Jets had to offer enough to avoid any bidding war with Buffalo, or for that matter Denver. This is our chance to field a potential franchise QB within the next season. If that doesn't excite you as a Jets fan, nothing will.

Long Island Leprechaun
If we're going to absolutely fair regarding this year's second two, we have to factor in the fact that we got Kearse in that trade. So the second two has already produced a starting WR. Obviously would be nice to have it, but there was some compensation that came with it. We lose a 2nd round pick for each superfluous 2017 win because Bowles insisted on starting McCown until his injury. Had he started Petty and Hack for most of the season, we'd have those picks now. Thanks Bowles... you f--king moron!
