So what now for the OL?

I think we probably have a bottom 5 OL group. We didn't really bring anyone of note in through fa. Now the best we can do to help in the draft is the 3rd rd.  And I think it's very possible we go defense with that 3rd rd pick.

The good news is we will have two potential franchise QBs. Btw Bridgewater and Rosen/Mayfield/Allen we have a good chance to finally have a stud. And I'm stoked about that. Good onya Macc.

The bad news is I'm not sure the QB is set to succeed anytime soon. We didn't improve our brigade of jags at WR. RB is avg at best. And OL has the potential to be atrocious.

I understand Rome wasn't built in a day. Maybe the June cuts will yield something for us.

still a cocern.  the draft picks probably would've filled out the oline nicely.  but at the same time, winters should be coming back strong and spencer might be a decent center so the starters look to be set.  we'll see what happens when they draft.

I think our O-Line is below average but I don't think the Jets view it that way. I think they believe Brandon Shell is going to progress into a good Right Tackle. I think they think Carpenter is going to bounce back from a poor season, and I think they feel Winters and Beachum are solid. I'd definitely look into replacing Winters at least but I don't think the Jets think they need to right now.

This. I think they upgraded Center in a big way, Johnson was abysmal. I also think that they probably attribute a lot of the bad interior line play from Carpenter and Winters because of the terrible play at center. How many times did we see someone run by our guard while he was helping out Johnson who was getting beat by the nose tackle?

Wesley Johnson's performance at center had a direct impact on the rest of the OL, and they weren't even that bad last year. I would like to improve more, but we don't have a bad offensive line. I think we are middle of the pack.

And there may be some good value in rounds 3 or 4 of the draft.

If one of the Centers fell to the bottom of the 2nd, do we trade up for him? I'd be open to it, so we can move Long to guard.

I’d be fine with trading up for OL help, but I’d prefer the help to be an OT, I’m not sure Beachum holds up for another full season. ijalana signing was big but I don’t trust him that much to protect a young QBs blindside, if there’s a tackle in round 2 you like and you only give up your 3rd, 4 and maybe a 5th do it. I would have to imagine the kid from Oklahoma falls to us now in the third right?
