Lupz27
Do you think there is any chance Macc has the negotiation skills to scare the crap out of the Browns that we didn’t get our guy, and are looking to trade back, and if they want Barkley they have to swap with us like the 49ers did last draft? Maybe recouping one of our 2nd round picks?

I don't think they're threatened.

For him to pull off another move that advances the jets cause would be asking for lightning to strike in the same place twice. Truth be told, I think there's a much greater chance he trades UP than down.

Draft Barkley at 1, and pick up Mayfield at 4.

T0mShane
I’d imagine being a GM in the same top five as the Jets is akin to being at a dinner party with this guy:

UntouchableCrew
Everyone knows we moved up for a QB. I don't think we have any leverage in that regard, nor am I even confident the Browns want Barkley.
Greenseed4
Yeah but, Josh Allen goes 1. Bills come up and get Darnold at 2. We pick whomever out of Baker/Rosen goes on to have the least successful career.

I don't think it works in their or anyones favor to make decisions and be overly concerned with what another team will or may do. Think you would be more successful just worrying about yourself and doing what you can to get the best results. Sure they could not want to help us, but maybe that is not the reason. If the price is too steep for them...they sit at 12 and use all those picks to fill holes.

jetstream23
Macc didn't get to #1 and left room ahead of the Jets for other teams to climb. He told the whole world that we want a QB without completely boxing out other teams from taking his top 2 choices, whoever those may be. It's like he walked into an after-party at an Adult Film Awards show and unzipped his pants to show everyone our teeny weeny. Now he's still hoping to get us all laid. wut am I talking about?
