Tell me when it’s time to worry.

Also have heard the Jets aren’t done and want the 1st pick. Maybe it’s more do-able now that we the 3rd. It’s going to cost though.

This IS IncarceratedBob though! So proceed into anxiety attacks with slight caution.

I'm ok with trading anything if the GM has a player he wants at QB(even though I don't trust our GM knows what he's doing) . We're trash till we get one anyway. At this point though I'm just wondering why we signed McCown last year instead of playing Hackenburg, confirming he sucks and completing the intended tank. Those where an expensive 5 wins

The time to worry is NOW !

The sky is about to fall. The Yellowstone caldera is going to blow. There is an earthquake fault under 125th St and the City will shake itself apart. The economy is going to crash in a manner that will make 1929 look like a picnic. Terrorists have secretly poisoned our water supply and we will all get cancer from it. Aliens have intercepted our TV signals and are on the way to annihilate us because they think we are idiots. A giant solar flare is about to fry the Earth. The Hadron Collider will form a black hole that will consume everything. The Chinese are calling in their loans and there will be three QB's in the first 3 picks, the first two will be hall of famers, the third will be out of football in 3 yrs.

The Bills would have to blow the Giants' doors off. Based on the trade value chart, the value of what the Jets gave up to move to #3 - without knowing who is going to be there - is about 2,805. The value of the first pick is 3,000 and the value of the second is 2,600. Obviously the Jets would have been willing to give up the same to get to #2, probably a little bit more, and certainly a little bit more if it meant to get to #1. Price to move up in this draft has been set and it's really high.

That said, how typical would it be if another team gives up less (or just slightly more) to get ahead of the Jets at 1 or 2. And takes their guy.

Until I am proven wrong, I will maintain that the Giants will not trade that pick to a team outside of the top ten.

I personally don't think the Giants are going to trade the pick at all.

agree.  the giants want someone to help them this coming year so going down to 12 lowers the odds.  they are not rebuilding

What kinda scares me is that the Bills obviously think the Jets are going after whoever they want -- which kind of feels like Josh Allen to me. The Jets and Bills trading away their futures in a bidding war for Josh Allen might be the most Jets and Bills thing ever.

To further this line of reasoning, I could totally see the Browns drafting Allen #1 overall, thereby saving the Bills and Jets from themselves. Would this be the most Jets/Bills/Browns thing ever?

Also, it's important to remember that none of us really know sh*t about how these guys are gonna turn out. Allen could be a stud, for all we know.

If the Bills really do covet Allen, let them trade the farm to move up to #2 and get him.  He's 4th on my personal, non-expert board of QB's anyway, and I'm afraid that Mac likes him too.  If the Bills grab him, it's a win, win, for the Jets as far as I'm concerned.

If I'm the Giants why do I do this?

The Giants are in 1 of 2 modes right now which are being debated:

1. Win-now!  "We have Eli, we think 2017 was an aberration, OBJ may not see another contract with this team, our defense is still good, so we want BPA at #2 which could be Barkley.  No way are we dropping to #12."

2. We need our next QB!  "Eli may be good for another year or two...three at the most.  Nobody on earth is saying they think he'll be playing in 5 years! We're at #2 in a QB rich draft and we can bury a talented rookie for a year or two behind Eli then spring him on the NFL in 2020 like the Packers did with Aaron Rodgers.  We're probably not finding our future QB at #12."

There's a chance the Giants trade down....maybe with us, maybe with Denver.  They are not dropping from the Top 10 IMO.

Was he the one that spurned that whole "Nnamdhi Asoumgha is going to be a Jet" idea the night before FA many years ago?  That guy has thrown so much at the wall but I think when one or two stuck he somehow got a cult following.
