I'm hoping that...

Bridgewater plays lights out so that we can trade him and get back what we lost in the trade up. Why would we trade him, though, if he plays really well and leads us to the playoffs? What would Rosen's trade stock be if he sat on the bench for a year?

Obviously durability issues are a concern after coming off such a gruesome injury, but even when healthy, I don't even see teddy beating out McCown in training camp. It takes a lot to step back into the game after 1+ years off and build chemistry with a new set of guys. McCown has been around for a year and already has him in that department. Either way though teddy is low risk high reward, so really that's the best scenario to be in. I would be more than happy for Teddy to prove me wrong however!

This can be said for the rookie too but would NEVER be an acceptable excuse for him not playing. Why is it a reason that Teddy cant be successful but not a reason a rookie cant beat our McClown?

I see people here say all the time that if the rookie cant beat out McClown then he is a bust waiting to happen. Does a rookie get a pass that Teddy doesnt?

Ahh yes you make a good point. To clarify, I want it to be a competition where the best man wins. Josh, Teddy, and the rookie included. I would love for the rookie to come in and be ready week 1. That would be huge for the franchise and by some of the ceilings of these top QB's I do not think that is super far fetched. However, in my above post I was strictly comparing that of teddy and josh, since i'm having a hard time seeing this front office (especially our mecca conservative head coach) starting the rookie unless he completely crushes it in training camp/preseason. Of course, i would love for that to happen but it also depends on how the summer goes and which quarterback we even land. That being said, I realistically see the week 1 starter being between josh and teddy, where I believe josh would get the upper hand, as for some of reasons i've listed in my previous post. Just IMHO. But truthfully I just want this team to be successful this year and in the future, so if one of these top QB prospects we land is the guy, then let him be the guy.

I’m hoping that someday we won’t have anymore mind-numbingly stupid posts like this. Seriously think about what you just said. You hope a 25 year old kid plays lights out, something we haven’t seen at the QB position in 3 generations, so we could trade him to recoup a couple second round picks?? And why??? Because we would have had to have another top level QB rude the bench because of BW’s lights out play, therefore he wouldn’t get us back 2 second round picks. So what you’re saying is those 2 second round picks are so goddamn valuable to you that you’d rather have them over having 1 generational QB and another top tier QB prospect backing him up? Are you ******* kidding?

We dominate the AFC East for years and years and win multiple Super Bowls and become a dynasty like NE has done and our drafted QB is considered the GOAT.

But unlike ne we Win ALL our SB's... and we do it without cheating.

Well since everyone knows he may not want to play ball that long, maybe 2nd rounder

He said rarity. Citing one example proves his point.

it's rare that there are qb's, or players at any position, going 1-2-3 or having the same 1st 2nd and 3rd drafted positional players being all pros or even pro bowl types.  and just how many drafts have there been since the merger?  48?  so once in 48 tries is a rarity?  not really.

0 would be never. 1 would be rare.

Hoping for best QB in the draft but really just hoping for a QB in the top 10 if possible & the best QB in the AFC East post Brady.

You don't need the best QB, you need a very good one & a great team and coaching (see Philly Eagles & Foles). Because there are so many people split on these QBs (seems most have Darnold at #1), but others don't, I think will be the best QB draft since Big Ben, Rivers, draft, looking back 10 years from now will prove it.

Based on that, I'm just happy Macc traded up to 3 because we will be coming out of this draft with 1 of the top QBs, and that's all we can ask for is a shot at getting one. Sheldon effing up & Mo turning into a lazy slob might have been blessings in disguise for the organization.

April 26th can't come quick enough for me.

andrew luck, rg3, and tannenhill say hi too.  okay rg3 played himself out of the game but luck is the real deal and tannenhill isn't that bad. and this past draft had trubisky, mahomes and watson.  if you listen to half the posters here, all three are the greatest since sliced bread.

rivers, ELIte, and big ben say hi.

Blake Bortles, Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater

EJ Manuel, Geno Smith, Mike Glennon

Cam Netwon, Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert (Christian Ponder)

Sam Bradford, Tim Tebow, Jimmy Clausen

Matt Stafford, Mark Sanchez, Josh Freeman

JaMarcus Russel, Brady Quinn, Kevin Kolb

Vince Young, Matt Leinart, Jay Cutler

They all say Hi too. Not a lot of Super Bowl participants there.

Now being fair, there were three more "pretty close" years:

Alex Smith, Aaron Rodgers, Jason Campbell (2 out of 3 ain't bad, though Smith took some 'seasoning')

Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Brian Brohm (2 out of 3)

Andrew Luck, RGIII, Ryan Tannehill (not quite 2 out of 3, but a bit better than most years)

Two SB winners in here, and another that woulda-coulda-shoulda.

If that’s your #2 then you’ve done more than I ever could to prove it’s rare indeed!
