Giants shopping Beckham

Only recent news on Beckham is apparently he plans to hold out if not given a new contract.  The guy is batsh*t crazy and injury prone, the Giants SHOULD be shopping him, as I'm sure they could still get plenty despite the headache he is.  With that said, they probably won't be trading him, and even if they were, I wouldn't want him around this already messy situation.

Don't want him here.  However, just taking a flyer on this...if the Giants were going to move him, what better way to soften the blow to their fans than bringing in the most dynamic playmaker in the draft, Saquon Barkley.  Yeah, I'm grasping at straws, but it's going to be a long month so what else have we got to do :o

Even if the Giants were to put OBJ on the market, you can take it to the bank that they'd rather make him sit in the cold pouting than trade him to us. It's just not happening.

Also, what would we trade?   We have no more draft picks.

I think it's still speculation but the below is being reported that he doesn't want to play without the ext.

But Mara also said he's tired of being questioned for his behavior

I guess in a mythical world, we could give them our 1 next year. The only precedent for trading a top 5 wr in his prime was the Moss to Oakland for a 1,7 and a player.

That didn't really work out for Oakland.

I wouldn’t want anything to do with him and the Giants would be smart to trade him.

I’m not giving any damn receiver $20 million a year, even if he’s squeaky clean off the field. Even the best wideouts only touch the ball maybe 5-6 times a game on average. It’s not the incredibly premium position that QB or passrusher is.

Add on the fact that this dude is a proven jackass both on and off the field and has a sh*tty haircut and I think you know where I stand.

I agree with this 100%.  It feels exactly like Revis did and I hated it then and Revis' douchiness was limited just to money and he had no injury concerns.  Even with our cap room that means we could sign him without having to make cuts, I wouldn't want anything to do with him at that price, locked into what would likely be at least a 5-year deal.

EXACTLY! Atlanta has a franchise QB in Matt Ryan & f*cking Julio Jones and ZERO SUPERBOWLS! Stafford, a franchise QB with Calvin Johnson! And where were the Falcons last year? By the way the Giants are picking #2 in front of on April 26th.

I'll follow Belichicks lead, he'll pay up to a certain amount, Moss, Cooks, but OBJ would be on his way out in New England if he wanted crazy 20 million type sh*t.

The Giants will have a  very very hard time trading him. First off, the fan base won't accept anything less than high first round picks plus more. Second, no team in their right mind would give away high draft picks for a player coming off an injury, that's a head case, cares more about instagram success and is on the verge of becoming a free agent and/or demanding a new contract before the season starts.

Brady is gonna love throwing to him

NE wouldn't pay a guy like that b/c they don't need to.  Brady can win w/ anyone.  NYG won 3 games last year, if Brady was their starter they would have won 10.  He's that damn good.

the guy is an impact player and imo gets more grief than he deserves but not many teams will pay what the giants would be asking for him i would imagine.  A team like the browns could probably make a play for him and it would be worth if for them.

Sure, let's give up major draft assets so we can pay him the QB money he wants.

The Giants would never, ever make a blockbuster trade like this with us anyways, even if it were true they're shopping him.

This thread is useless other than some good comedic fodder while we wait for a month to find out what QB we're getting.

Wrong on both accounts. OBJ is going to New England.

And Brady sucks.
