Rich Cimini "Based on what I'm hearing, the Jets have three ranked very highly on their draft board. My hunch is they end up with Allen or Mayfield."

This tidbit from Cimini's article makes me believe that Josh Rosen, who everyone believed was in the top 2 before the draft process started, is out of the picture for the Jets. Darnold, Allen, and Mayfield are the top 3. This is not only coming from Cimini Brian Costello is also echoing him. Cimini was also on 98.7fm talking about how he hears the Jets realy love Mayfield and Allen but never mentioned Rosen.

With all our speculation and all the mock drafts, the one thing that i keep coming back to is that mccagnan and bowles have gone to great lengths to try to improve the locker room and get rid of the bad vibes.  They've basically done that.  

It therefore wouldn't make sense to draft Rosen and have the most important player on the team have an unlikeable personality.  I can easily see the jets focused on the other 3 qbs for that reason alone.

lol this is a troll quote from a Jets beat writer to stir up the frenzy to generate clicks, and attention to his column with stating his hunch is the Jets will draft one of the 2 most controversial QB’s at 3, and you fell for it hook line, and sinker, and subjected the rest of us to it by starting this silly thread.

If anyone actually read the article, it doesn’t say anything about Rosen.  It’s Cimini’s guess, based on on everything he has put out draft related that he believes that Darnold and Rosen are going 1-2 and that it’s anyone’s best guess who the Jets prefer between Allen and Mayfield.  

Again in previous pieces, he has said he believes they would prefer Allen over Mayfield.

I agree that Macc really needed to make sure he got his QB this year, it’s just going to be disheartening that we gave up 3 #2s for a 2nd tier prospect.

I know everyone keeps comparing Allen to Roethlisberger.  But Big Ben was a 3 year starter in college and threw for over 4,000 yards his last year at Miami, OH.  Then followed up by going 13-0 his rookie year (14 if you include his playoff win over us.)  So I’m not sure how you can even compare the two QBs on anything but size.

I'm guessing this is how they're thinking based on the moves they've made.  They're probably looking for someone to rally the offense and i can see them being turned off by Rosen more than other teams.  It's not my opinion, it's how i think they think.

Oh well if Brian Costello is echoing him then it carries a lot more weight!  :)

Yea if this was 3 months ago. Now no one thinks Rosen will be picked before the Jets. Giants trading down with someone for Allen or picking Barkley/Chubb. Can't find a credible source who thinks Rosen goes top 2 now.

Based on what I'm hearing after all this time and speculation and trying to point out every flaw these prospects have the first two QBS taken are the ones you thought would be taken 3 months ago.  Which is the QB ranking you had before all the BS
