Benjamin Allbright knows how the Jets rank the QB's and is very confident.

For fans of teams hoping he falls in this draft, I highly (hint hint) doubt Baker Mayfield gets past the third pick. #Jets

Mayfield isnt going later than three.
-Chubb is either going two or four.
-Chargers have "legitimate significant interest in Lamar Jackson."
-Josh Allen wont fall further than Arizona.

I was told they had it Darnold, Mayfield, Allen

Ill let my track record on Jets news speak for itself.

Say Mayfield is available at 5. You think Denver takes him?

He 100% wont be available, but yes they would.

Thank you. Hmmm. He’s very confident in his predictions.

He was confident last year too.  Not so sure he has a working crystal ball.

The big news here is the Jets rank the QB's

1) Darnold

2) Mayfield

3) Josh Allen

That means if Broncos trade up with the Giants (the only team I see them willing to trade down with) and they take Mayfield who they are rumored to prefer. The Jets would take Josh Allen over Rosen.

This would really suck.

If Darnold and Mayfield went 1 and 2, and the Jets took Allen over Rosen I’d lose it.

Honestly, since Maccagnan took over, this organization has made it a point to remain completely secretive due to all the leaks that happened during the Rex Ryan era. Aside from @Mogglez , who has actually called things out on this board before the media reports it, I don't really believe any media member when it comes to the Jets. Mogglez had Rosen as their number one QB prospect all season, now he is number 4 according to Allbright? I call B.S. unless something came up on Rosen's medicals (but I have not seen that reported anywhere).

If anything, the lack of news regarding Rosen and the Jets make it seem to me like he is their guy and they are trying to be coy.

Thank you and @Mogglez has been pretty silent as of late; I wonder if the Jets have shifted their thinking some due to chalk board work, injury or something else we just don’t know about?

I am not saying it won't happen but there is no way he knows for sure. The Jets have everyone thinking they love with the  dinner, visits,  and workouts. I just can't see a franchise publicly showing this much interest in a QB, either they are dumb as hell, have some knowledge of what will happen at 1 and 2 ( which is highly unlikely) or it's just a huge smoke screen.

The mock above has the Jets taking the DROY last year and his QB tweet was; Allbright-Word-is-Jets-are-very-high-on-Trubisky-and-Watson-72488734

So what is Allbright basing his track record on? I would be ok if he was the GM and actually made those picks but savant he is not

I don't think Darnold, Mayfield or Rosen make it past 5

Mogglez posted a few weeks ago that his source had gone silent due to it being draft season.

He called Cousins to Minnesota back awhile ago, before Minnesota was being reported as even interested.

So did I. They had the cap space, no QB signed to the roster and were in the championship game last year, it was kind of an obvious fit.

Everyone did that though.

Oh I thought he came he in early on before anyone else. I could be wrong.

Off topic, as a fellow Rosen fan. How do you feel about recent reports that Rosen is most likely to fall?

I’m shocked. I think hes QB 1. Reports bs? Or teams know more about him that we don’t?

I think this thought stems from all the Baker/Jets hype that has came as of recent. If you have the Browns take Allen, then Giants Darnold, then Jets Baker..you will see a drop to 5(Broncos) guaranteed. And that goes for just about any scenario where the Giants and Jets don’t take him,

5 would be inevitable...

I also think that none of these guys really know what is going on as much as they flaunt that they do. Robert K and Albright have been writing their Baker to the Jets in stone...which is odd.

Do they have a legitimate source or are they just going off of each other, blindly? I would take the latter at this point in the draft process but wouldn’t rule anything out, as you never should.

All and all..I think it will ultimately come down to how the Jets feel about Rosen as a long term starting QB. He obviously has the skill to throw with the best of them for 15 plus years..but the vibes they get from him as human being and a football player is what is going to determine if he goes at #3.

And yet all these guys (not just Allbright) would have the Twitterverse believe they, and only they, have a reliable inside source.  Got it.  Here's my random Saturday morning thought on this:

When a team takes the consensus BPA and it goes wrong, I can live with it.  Gholston is an example.  He sucked, but he was the 6th best prospect in the draft and the first five guys got taken before our pick (Matt Ryan, we hardly knew ye).  Eat your piss-filled Cheerios and move on.

But when a team goes against the grain to take a guy ahead of others that everyone else seems to rank first, then they really had better be right.  If Darnold's gone and we take Rosen and it doesn't work, I get it.  I can live with that and still be a fan.

But if they take Mayfield over Rosen (or god forbid Darnold), and it goes wrong, and worse yet, Rosen goes on to have a great career for another AFCE team, then I want the place burned to the ground and I want to piss on the ashes.

One more note on this.  NFL.com has four mocks up atm.  In all four, Mayfield is the 4th QB drafted, between 8-12.  In three he becomes a Bill or Dolphin.  In all four, we land Darnold or Rosen.  In two, the Bills trade up to #5 for Allen with Mayfield still available.

The mad Mayfield love here is not matched by the bulk of the analysts out there.  I have no idea what that's worth (most likely nothing) but I will still be really surprised if we draft Mayfield.

The thing is the reports on Rosen falling seem to be more than just Jets-related. Browns, Giants, Jets, and even Broncos considering trading out of 5 if Rosen is there has me concerned.

Is his injury history worse than we thought? There are degrees in severity of concussions. So maybe that second one that he got is severe with long term effects. Maybe his throwing arm shoulder injury has some tissue damage that could linger? Idk

The one thing that i can’t dismiss, is that the guy on si.com who has written a 20 or so part pre-draft thing on mayfield, klemko or someone, strongly predicts mayfield to the jets.  He more than the analysts seem more privy to true inside info.

Who knows. Could be that. These medical doctors would definitely sniff it out if that is the case well before hand.

I heard that Denver is only trading out if they don’t like the QB that drops. Heard they loved Rosen earlier in the process. Who knows what the board looks like now though.
