What if the Browns drafted 2 quarterbacks?

Would not be a bad idea at all

The Cowboys took Steve Walsh in the compensatory draft when they already had Aikman.  That move worked out just fine. (http://articles.latimes.com/1990-09-25/sports/sp-1365_1_steve-walsh)

The Eagles went “QB crazy” a couple of years ago and won a SB.

and they won the SB with none of those QBs. (Wentz, Bradford, Daniels)

They should just draft nothing but qbs. Ride with their favorite one of two from training camp and try to trade away the others. They owe their fan base a franchise qb and all the stocking up on draft picks in recent years have led them to the number one overall pick for the second straight year

This happened on a Good Morning Football mock weeks ago.

It might sound silly to think the Browns would spend two firsts on a FQB, but the Bills are about to pay waay more than that if they move up...and whichever QB doesn’t take the reigns in CLE can be traded later on for a first & change.

So if the Jets has number 1 and number 4 nobody would be tempted to put this QB situation behind us once and for all?

No, we would most likely make a three way deal with the giants and bills...or some other crazy hypothetical, no chance in hell ever happens scenario.

It does for sure sound silly.

Just because it happened on GMFB doesn't make it any less silly than the fact that it worked in Madden that one time.

It would go down as the dumbest executive move in NFL history and Dorsey isn't dumb, nobody is that dumb

It would be epically stupid because it means the GM used either the 1st or 4th overall pick on a player he absolutely knew would never start for his team.

The main problem is that "failed" QB, i.e., the one who doesn't take the reigns, will not be worth the 4th overall pick (especially the 1st overall pick) in the following draft.  Yes, they might get a 1st rounder for the QB battle loser, but they won't get a 1st rounder as good as the one they have now.

Two Quarterbacks, One Draft?

:o

I like what you did there...

Is Paul DePodesta still with the Browns? If he is, 2 QB's may be a strategy. As a long time suffering Jets fan, I know this, If you don't have a QB you ain't  got whats in the cup.
