End of the schedule could be rough...Pats, @Titans, @Bills, Texans, Packers, @ Pats

Assuming the Texans will be much better with a healthy Watson - that's 5 out 6 games against teams who will likely be contending for a playoff spot.

3 games in 10 days to start the season is pretty brutal. Guess we really shouldn’t care about wins/losses this year anyways, our only care should be how the new QB is developing.

That’s why we have been signing the young dudes. Lol

I can see 6-4 or 5-5 at the bye. Not really a difficult schedule. What helps is that they get the two hardest NFC North teams at home

Only Bad teams on that schedule are the Bears Colts and The Dolphins and you can always expect a tough division game vs the Dolphins so this is a difficult schedule. Im also expecting the Browns to be a very difficult game since they are a much improved team and in their building

I see us at 7-9 with that schedule. Could also easily be 9-7 and a banana peel away from a getting a WC spot in'18.

As another poster stated earlier, as long as the QB develops and shows he's capable of performing well at the NFL level, I'll be happy; anything extra is Gravy.

Chicago and Tennessee seem like good cities for an Away game. May consider the trip.

First 3 games in the first 10 days for the second time since 2016.  Who in the Jets FO approves this crap?

Season ticket holders get 1 measly home game, then have to wait a month for the second, and then we have 3 home games in a row which is just overkill and a strain on our families.

Then we've got both Thanksgiving and Christmas as home games, wonderful.

Hating the schedule and the way the Jets FO rolls over on dumb Septembers, Octobers, and now November's and December's that are very hard on fans.  Again.

on the road for the short week...not good for a rookie QB..McCown should start the first month

who gives a crap.  you trade up for a qb, you play him.  this wasn't about winning last year when they should have tanked for a qb, and it is all about qb development this year.

couldnt agree less with the first bold and couldnt agree more with the second.  we have teddy and mccown to start games for wins.  Why rush a rookie regardless of what he cost us?  If he blows the doors off of the other QBs and has to start to progress than yes, by all means start him.  I dont want to hear 5 years from now how we broke our shiny new qb by throwing him in the fire his rookie year.

Nashville is a great town to visit...although I suspect the 4:05 start for that game might scare some people off who might have wanted to catch a late Sunday night flight back to the NY area if the game was at 1:00

I would have considered Detroit, since it is only a 4 1/2 hour drive for me, plus Casinos, plus great strip clubs in Windsor...but Monday night....naw...that ain't happening.

if rosen or mayfield shows he can run the offense in training camp and preseason there is no benefit to sitting him.  there have been enough new qbs who start right away, from wentz to prescott to winston to mariotta.  play him if he's ready.

On the other hand, if you are going to travel to a game, the 4PM start makes it ideal for tailgating.

That makes no sense. There is no rule. Every QB is different.

Desaun Watson/Brady/Rodgers/Eli/Big Ben all  didn't start game 1 of their rookie year.

Carson Wentz/Stafford/Ryan/Dak/Wilson all did start from game 1

It all depends on the kid and the situation.

From a season ticket holder perspective, I LOVE this schedule:

Happy to have only one hot weather, Sunday 1 pm game in September.  I'll enjoy it, but September games are often miserably hot and my schedule is way more hectic in September than it is in October.  I can't wait for the three back-to-back-to-back Sunday 1:00PM games in the BEST weather month for attending home football games and tailgating.  I understand that other commitments make 3 in a row tough, but it works for me and I am looking forward to those. A lot!

We don't play on either Thaksgiving or Christmas.  What are you talking about?  Thanksgiving is Thursday.  11/25 is a Sunday.  Unless you are travelling, who cares?  Christmas eve is 12/24.  Christmas is 12/25.  the game is 12/23.  So what?  Are you out shopping? Home cooking?  Travelling? Please. There are better things to whine about.  Plus it's a Pats game, so if you don't want to go or can't go, you still get premium payback on a resale even though it is freezing December because stupid Pats fans ALWAYS pay through the nose on Stubhub every freaking year no matter what.

I also appreciate that there is only one possible night game, which may wind up being a weird Saturday 4:30 game.  But it's on a Saturday, so that's much better than a Sunday or Monday night.  I hate Sunday/Monday night home games.  I know you do too. Well it's not an issue at all.  Good.

With all but one home game at 1:00 pm on Sundays, this schedule is a ticket holder's dream.

we'll see how everyone feels in september after our rookie has looked good in camp and in preseason, and mccown starts the first month of the season while johnson and mccagnan stew behind the scenes.  we'll also see how smart the schedule makers look putting mccown on prime time twice in the first 3 weeks.
