Since this is a useless thread anyway, here's some of my current inner thoughts. Call me crazy but here's my current list

Not overall ranking but ranking based on best fit for this sh*tbird team and who'd I want  in order.

1. Rosen

2. Mayfield

3. Jackson

4. Darnold

5. Lauletta

6. Allen

I do not think the Jets should pick Rosen too many concussions!!!! One hit away from  "I RETIRE"

It's a concern, just like Allen's accuracy/Mayfield's height-maturity/Darnold's ball security.

If you want a perfect QB, go back 6 years and draft Andrew Luck....who just missed an entire season due to an injury and is still not ready to play football....

to the ops point, I think I'm convinced Rosen is a Bradford/Pennington type and think we should avoid.  If we do draft him we need to put him in touch with brady's hgh dealer

Nitpick, but I think Mayfield is the one who would benefit most from HGH.

I think concussions can happen to anyone at anytime. It's not an "injury prone" thing. I understand you're most susceptible after but basically at this point you can't touch the QB anyway and it's the other guys who might get hit where you can still touch them, outside the pocket.  Everything I read on the shoulder injury was that it was very minor.

Had this argument a million times back when the noodle arm was here, some players just aren't as durable as others. The guy missed what 8 of last 19 games and also kinda looks the part, skinny, baby face, etc

Re: Allen’s inaccuracy. Per Phil Simms Mayfield threw approx 4x the number of screen passes than Allen. BM threw 80+ Screens vs Allen’s 20+.

Phil said if Allen threw same # as BM his completion % would be over 60%.

He questions if people are truly watching Allen’s games or just going off stats.

Agreed and I have been saying that for months. If Wyoming had installed 2 or 3 more easy screen passes every game OR he had competent WRS he would have had a 60pct comp pct and everyone here would be in love with the kid. Will there be a player from Wyoming drafted this year or next? Probably not.

But we shouldn't act as though Allen is accurate. He's not. But he makes up for it by having the best arm, able to scramble and make crazy throws on the run and is big and strong and more durable.

At this point, I am Darnold #1, Rosen/Allen/Mayfield tied at 2 with justification for taking any of those guy at 3 if Darnold is off the board.

Wasnt arguing if some guys were more durable than others, they are, I agree. Why are you more worried about the one guy who will never leave the pocket in a league where you can't touch them in the pocket vs the 4 guys who will constantly be running around outside the pocket, 2 of which who are a lot smaller. There's one great pocket passer in this draft and it's Rosen. I'll take my chances, which, imo, are about the same injurywise.

YEAH BUT THEY'RE ULTRA COMPETITIVE CONCUSSIONS. WITH MOXIE.

T/F.. Mayfield seems like a meat head who will end up a vegetable later in life in exchange for glory today, Rosen comes off as far too smart and unlikely to be willing to sacrifice his future health

Of course Baker had a much better completion percentage on deep passes, but yeah, lets spread this bogus narrative.

As we have seen with Hack, throwing a screen pass is not necessarily easy, even though it does not travel far.  There is an art to it.

I don't know whether, given Allen's style and footwork, he would necessarily have been good at screen passes.

The biggest issue with Rosen is the perception is that he is not as mobile, rather than if he is injury prone.

Everything I have seen the Jets do in the last 3 years, other than draft Hack, indicates to me that they want a QB who can move around.

That does not mean that Rosen does not work.  It just means that the Jets would need a new coaching staff.

I would take Rosen and a new coaching staff.
