Chris Johnson and Mike Maccagnan will fire Todd Bowles if favors Josh McCown over Sam Darnold.

I don't know about that.  Darnold is only 20.  I would have no issue letting him sit most of the year.  I can easily root for McCown this year now without worrying he'll cost us a FQB.  Let him teach Darnold how it's done.

Well the fact that you like it and are a terrible judge of QBs if reason enough at all

the only people who think this wasn't a GREAT pick are a small group of self loathing Jet "fans" who spend their time in the dark, rocking themselves in the fetal position while listening to 9 Inch Nails.

You say this about every Jets pick in every draft

LOL.

you guys are bitter as hell. I the biggest Josh Rosen fan on this board(ME!) totally get behind this and be happy as hell.

you losers can too! The guy is NOT Sanchez just because they went to the same school.

LETS GO DARNOLD

Yeah Darnold or Rosen would have given us the best quarterback prospect we have had in over 20 years.  How anyone can be upset we took one over the other is beyond me.   The need to get over past USC quarterbacks already.

uhhh no.

but I do say this to the dopes whimpering about drafting Williams, Adams, and now Darnold.

Are you ready to give Macc props yet are are you gonna stick with your prime objective of besmirching anything he does?

Maccagnan gets props for turning his back on his destiny and passing on Josh Allen

My top 5 guys

1. Rosen

2. Mayfield

3. Lamar Jackson

4. Josh Allen

5. Sam Darnold

I really didnt think much of Darnold. Anyone with as much turnovers as him, and what analysts have called "bad habits" that need to be coached (by a staff that has proven it cant develop QBS), i cringed with the pick. Rosen was most NFL ready QB in the draft. I hope I'm wrong. Of course ill root my ass off for Darnold. I just don't see it. I watch college ball religiously. I been scouting these QBs for past 3 months. Rosen was the pick, and i feel like they blew it.

17 out of the 24 GMs polled by Casserly told him that Darnold was the best QB in the draft.  Some of those guys actually know a little about football.  Maybe that will give you some comfort.

That was before the sh*t 2017 season he had lmao - did you not watch college football this past season? 13 picks, 9 fumbles. That's just unacceptable - and that's on the college level. That doesn't scare you at all?

So you're dismissing his mobility, his size, his ability to throw to tight windows, to get the ball on target before the receiver gets there, his ability to make plays, his athleticism, and his competitiveness. EVERYBODY is aware of his ball security issues in the past year. Please don't pretend that this is news. We've spent the last three months nitpicking over every detail of these guys. Bottom line: simply the best overall QB prospect in this draft when looked at from all dimensions. He's the most complete package of the big four. And I like Rosen a lot, but Darnold is more gifted overall. Just never thought he would drop to us. We should be jumping for joy.

Casserly also got us Mac and Bowles.  Point officially nullified.

I didn’t love this class, but my record on QBs is even worse than yours; the only thing I’m sure of is that Josh Allen will be terrible. Darnold has warts like the others, but realtalk, I have no complaints and I’m excited to see what he can do.
