Trade Back Into The 2nd?

Unfortunately, I don't think we have the draft capital to do it.  I could see moving up a few slots into the very bottom if someone special slips down to the late 20s, but we only have 6 picks this year and next.  It would have to be a screaming bargain.

Wouldn't mind moving up and grabbing Kristen Kirk who is supposed to be a solid slot guy and great for the locker room. Honestly there are a few other decent prospects though who might slide to us in the third. Maybe a guy like Arden key who early on was projected as a high first who got some red flags could fill a void on our defense. One of my favorite players in the draft Nick Chubb has concerns with his knee but he looked pretty sharp when he took over for Gurley he could end up being a decent value too.

I think we should evaluate trading back up into the second, specifically getting Harold Landry who I expect to be a pro bowl player to pair up with Leo.

Unless we are wiling to trade away next years 1st, we can't trade back into the top of the 2nd. Maybe we could move up a few spots into the bottom of the 2nd, but I think there will be plenty of talent falling to us in the 3rd (especially at RB).

They at least have an early 3rd.

Players I'd love there:

RB: Jones, Guice, Chubb, Hines

WR: Sutton, Kirk, Washington

TE: Gesicki, Goedart, Andrews

OT: Williams, Brown, O'Neil, Crosby

IL: Hernadez, Daniels, Smith, Cole, Corbett

Edge: Landry, Carter

DL: Hurst, Hand

LB: Griffen

CB: Jackson, Oliver
