Good conference. He’s very humble. He didn’t give them any great takes but you can tell he is all about business.

That's totally fine with me.  I want guys who are talented, humble, and just about going to work.

Probably because they were worried that he was just going to keep saying that he was going to be himself and he was ready to work for the next 40 minutes. He seems to have a boring personality will compliment Bowles well.

Plus he probably has the best overall talent from other guys and is younger, bigger, and more durable
I am fine with the pick i was just pointing out the obvious that he was saying the same things over and over and that I thought the nfl network cut him off because he was boring

WTF NFL network does such a great job .... Idiots

Well judging from The Browns terrible history of drafting QB's they are probably giving them a gift before the inevitable collapse occurs for them lol

I know but some fans don't like him because he is "boring".  The Rosen fans never talk about his talent they just talk about his "moxie"

Mayfield’s press conference was good too though. Said all the right things.

Darnold basically said when asked what will make him one of the greats in the NFL - “Because i’m going to come in and be me...” and I didn’t understand the depth of what he was saying until I thought about it for a minute.. Darnold thinks he can be great because of way he is wired mentally. He thinks who he is..is built to be great. That is his mental make up..a make up for success in the pros.

Darnold kept repeating this though and he even repeated last night during he draft... “I’m going to come in and be myself.”

I like that.

He’s a very level headed person but what I liked the most out of that conference is when they said...

”Josh Rosen was pretty angry and ticked off that he didn’t go in the top 3 and he is motivated. Darnold, are you motivated that the top two teams didn’t take you?”

his response: “I’m a hard worker and my family set that example for me when I was young. It doesn’t matter if I went #1, #3, #244 or even undrafted. I’m going to work just as hard no matter what because that’s what it takes.”

I was part of the Rosen fan club but I understand that darnold is the safer pick. I am still worried he might flop like Sanchez I know he is a better prospect but they came from the same school and one of darnold few knocks is ball security which is something Sanchez struggled with. I don't know if we could take a second butt fumble. Either way I understand the pick we didnt get my guy but I hope we end up with our guy this time.

The "USC curse" garbage needs to stop.  Comparing him to Sanchez is any way is lunacy.

The idea that a QB would fail based on that another bust QB came from the same school is ridiculous, Darnold is 100x the prospect Sanchez was. Best to come out since Luck.

When did I compare him to anyone?  All I said was Sanchez wasn't ever the prospect that darnold is.  Sanchez was brought into  playoff ready team but individually he struggled because he was just inconsistent that's just what he was even in college.

Hope you never do compare them either because after really digging into film...boy...woah..Darnold has an EXREMELY high ceiling and I was so impressed. I was so caught off guard because I invested all my studying into Rosen.

Darnolds 10000x the prospect Mark was.

I agree.  The other poster was the one who kept saying that darnold would bust like Sanchez even though Darnold is a 10 times better prospect than Sanchez ever way.  Look if Darnold was gone I would have taken Rosen BUT we made the right move.  I don't want to deal with attitude or durability issues either.

I agree. There is obviously a reason that Darnold was the consensus #1 and I mean..I was a HUGE Rosen guy.

But if Darnold is an Andrew Luck/Aaron Rodgers type player...bro..F*ck Josh Rosen!!

Lol..no other way around it..Darnold has that type of potential .

Natural talent. I hope they don't try to coach it out of him.

I respect that you were pulling for Rosen that's fine.  the kid has talent obviously and might be more ready at the beginning BUT I just feel darnold is the overall package and he has less risk of injury and doing dumb things.

Definitely not upset at all with Darnold. I might even add that he is the best choice for us now that it is said and done. If he reaches full potential...it’s a super bowl or two.
